Well, I'm training passing & PM this season, so maybe he'll benefit from a few weeks PM, or should I sell him right away
A few weeks of PM would do him good but I dont think it would add much to his value unless you got him to say average.
I would say sell now but post him in juniors def valuations thread today and put him up for sale tomoz. You should get more interest in him then :)

yeah, but Vilpu only gave me a 300k valuation for Hanley, so I'm reluctant to sell my best juniors for crap money, when I've seen some very average players go for a million bucks
put him in the valuations thread and see what he says.
Compare him with mine that I sold last season.
Outstanding +3 (straight 4 week talent)
Alex Howarth, age: 18
value: 75 300 £, wage: 990 £
club: Caerphilly Dragons FC, country: Cymru
very good form, tragic tactical discipline
tragic stamina, hopeless keeper
adequate pace, very good defender
poor technique, weak playmaker
excellent passing, good striker
Even though mine was slightly more rounded, I reckon yours is better and with a slightly better talent too and mine went for just over a mil and I sold him later in the season.
edit: i'd also say yours is a 3.66 talent btw :)
4, 4, 3, 4, 4, 3 = 3.66 talent

This is Hanley now after 7 weeks, and he said only 300K so am not selling at that price.
With his talent which is much better than the defender, I was expecting 1.5 / 2 million
Stu Hanley , age: 19
club: RRC Waterloo, country: Cymru
value: 83 100 £, wage: 795 £
magical form, very good tactical discipline
unsatisfactory stamina hopeless keeper
solid pace adequate defender
solid technique poor playmaker
solid passing solid striker
Statistics:
Official matches: 7
Goals in official matches: 1
Assists in official matches: 1

Jonathan Prothero [9833631]
Waterloo if you are thinking of selling him give me advance notice, I'm very tempted to sell off my 2 non Welsh trainees and pick up a few talented Welsh guys to train :).
Might kill my team for a couple of seasons, but will certainly help NT :).
As I said give me advance warning buddy :)
And yes I would pay good for him tbh.

You aint gonna get alot of money though with talent alone. You need some sort of skills to back it up and to put it bluntly, hanley doesnt have those skills yet.
I'll use my 17yr old striker as an example here:
Roderick Bryant, age: 17
club: Caerphilly Dragons FC, country: Cymru
value: 34 350 £, wage: 435 £
unearthly form, good tactical discipline
average stamina tragic keeper
adequate pace unsatisfactory defender
good technique weak playmaker
weak passing average striker(will pop to adequate with a few weeks of general training)
I have no idea on his talent as he was only in my junior school for 2 weeks but by the time he hits 19, he will look alot better than hanley does now (unless injuries intervine ofcourse :P)
If I had a chance to swap my player for yours, i'd turn it down due to hanleys skills not looking that great.
Whereas, your latest pull not only has very nice talent, he also has nice key skills to add to it which makes him much more appealling.
Another thing to add is vilp valued howarth at 1 to 1.2 mil euros, he sold for 1.8
And one more thing, if you did decide not to sell, a season or 2 of PM and passing wouldnt hurt him at all as he could then be sold on to a def/pace trainer still only 20 and looking something like this:
solid stamina tragic keeper
formidable pace formidable defender
solid technique adequate playmaker
very good passing weak striker
A 20yr old looking like that would sell for alot :P

My junior daniel yarworth sold for a million and he wasnt as good as yours .
Thats because some welsh idiot bid up on him :)
Well Prothero doesnt interest me, his brother Raymond left 2 weeks ago, so he won't really get much training, as I'm looking for Mids. Was disappointed to be honest. Might leave him on the bench for a season, until I start training defence next season
Well, he's on the TL if you wanna have a look.
see I look at Jonathan Prothero and see a possible def midfielder in there.
He doesn't need that much pmk in that postion imho (obv like it to be a better starting point than tragic :( )
He has a good starting point on def, pace and good enough tech.
He is obviously very talented and his stamina isn't too crap.
However I do accept he is a better def trainee than any type of midfield.
my 2 pence worth :)
