Subject: Istanbul

Hey, kind people of Turkey! I will be visiting Istanbul for New Year so I was wondering if shops, Bazaar, museums etc. would be open on January 1st? I have only four days in Istanbul so I would like to make the best of my time there. Any helpful advice on what to see/not to see will be appreciated. Sağolun!

have a nice trip! very nice choice. on 1. januar Big bazaar(kapalicarsi) can be closed. But I'm not sure.

you know istanbul is a historical place so you should visit historical places :)

blue mosque ,grand bazaar,philoksenus cistern,you have to visit hagia sophia, dolmabahçe palace,topkapı palace, ı think you shouıld visit turkish bath it will be interesting experience for you :))

you can visit galata tower istanbul looks impressive in there maybe you should visit Maiden's Tower ( I think good choice for dinner ) you should visit basılıca cistern (One of the magnificent historical constructions of Istanbul is the basilica cistern located near south-west of Ayasofya)

ortaköy mosque is situated at the waterside of the ortaköy pier square one of the most popular locations on the Bosphorus (ortaköy mosque has a charming ambience )

ıf you want to learn istanbul night life you should visit frame(maçka) or sapphire (kuruçeşme)

beyoğlu is a one of the most popular place in Istanbul, number of tourists are visit beyoğlu and istiklal street you can take photo you can see spectacular constructions and ı think you should visit nevizade ;)

Maiden's Tower is located at the intersection point of the two continents Europe and Asia. Due to its location, it has been the symbol of Istanbul and one of the unique structures of the world.

Since the structure of Maiden's Tower dates back to 2500 years ago, it witnessed everything that the city encountered. During Hellenistic times, the tower was a mausoleum over a peninsula and it turned to be a customs station during Byzantine Empire in order to control the entrance and exit of the Bosphorus. During the Ottoman Empire, it carried out as a platform to perform Janissary Song, defense castle, banishment station, quarantine and so on...Its main duty was being a lighthouse and guiding people, boats and lovers...
