A pitty no luck, 3 very early goals, in my opinion a lot of bad luck here.

Then second half we could make 2 goals, but bad luck again. Against strong teams we need luck and we had not :(

Next game against Schweiz we play mainly with U20!

Zolkin's position is rather strange. Did you expect a winger? But Greece never used a winger before. I think we lost the midfield in this particular game. You could have increased concentration of players in the middle.

Thanks for watching the game and your critics. Yes, Zolkins position was not useful in that game, but its not so strange in my opinion, for playmaking and offensive play i like it, but for defence purposes you are right, i lost a man, because of the center focused tactic of Greece. I hoped that Galaev could close more gapes in the middle, but he is not fast enough. Nevertheless the first 3 goals will happen probably with many tactics, a 30 meter shot and marked strikers who make their goals out of confusion. But sure the the room of playing i could make smaller, placing Zolkin more centrally and not making Galaev run so much ;)

Now against Swizz we play an U20 match and we are allowed to use 2 U21 players. So i hope for an exiting and good game of the new U20 generation. Have fun.

Against Greece we had no chance; or lets say i havent seen a way to beat them or to create difficulties for them. Their players are much better on each position; ok its a bigger country with more users, but the difference in the quality of players is still to high. We should reduce that in the coming seasons ;)

Therefor its very important to work with our young players; its crucial that we identify russian Top-talented players and develop them adequatly.

I think Russia is on a good way; for example after last update on thursday, i have seen 14 actualizations in DB and every week their are 3-6 new entries in DB or communicated to me; the communication with most managers who have U21-candidates is good and much more than in the beginning. Thats quite good and will bring the results in next seasons.

This season it will be hard to qualify for WC and its not realistic, i must admit now ;). As the Greeks the Czechs have much stronger players and we need to beat them in week 12 for to have a chance.

At first come now 2 matches, where our U21 can do a good job, against Osbekistan and Singapur. We have good chances to win that 2 games and if we do the qualification will still have some exitement and tension until week 12 ;) Good luck, Rossia.

Thanks; it was a little a bit like our game against Greece with changed sides. ;)

Now comes a friendly against Germany where i plan to play with U20 if german Coach agrees. I think its good to save our keyplayers for the match against Czech Republic that comes next and give the younger ones some praxis.

Still there is a little chance to come through the group as second if we win last 2 games; its not very probable, but not impossible on the other side.

If we win against CzechR the last qualification match would be very interesting. But we have not and Greece and CzechR have qualified for WC. But i think we were not far away.

Nevertheless i am very content with the training progress of our youngstars. You cant see it in the rating, but all the players that are nominated in last match and in the friendly against Germany are very well trained. Thanks for that to all managers.

Now, last game of the qualification round is last game for our U21. We try to win of course, just for the rating ;) and then come 3 games with much younger players down to 18y.

So if someone has some unknown talent please tell me.

Starostin is great, but has to fight against his bad form. Fedorow i like very much for his sideskills, can play also as winger striker. Abramuk is on a very good way to play first squad if form is ok.
In 1-2 seasons strikers will be very strong.

For next season its very important to collect ranking points. To do this the choice of opponents is very important; they should be better in ranking and it should be possible to beat them; not easy to find such opponents ;)

I make a break in coaching russian U21; maybe in 1 or 2 seasons i apply again.
