That does not make it right though...

Yes. But in those cases, maybe form, maybe players, tactics, red cards ... could change the result in a week ... Here, the same day it is perfect to check that goals are random enough. That said, if the experiment were possible irl I think we would have similar results :-)

The good news for the strategy It's that stats are similar. It means that the M.E. is consistent, even if scoring efficience is random. Otherwise, no need to design any tactic :-)

Check those two Island matches. One with "better" team was a draw and one with "weaker" team resulted in a win do a Island. Conclusion - ME supports weaker team in some manner ;)

lol, how can we play 2 different team at the same time ?
"better/weaker" rating doesn't mean so much to conclude something.

in those double matches You were able to set up different tactics. When it comes to conclusion Island opponent played same team. In a match ended with a draw Island coach used his core team and for a won match he used plenty of debutantes who were 18-19y old. Both teams used same tactics across those two matches :) Island coach were reporting this issue once this friendly were accepted and based on our forum nobody from staff responded

Seems all in order of generation :(

Island-Malta match was scheduled as duplicate, was Portugal-Chile also scheduled as a tripłe match or was it single match which was ultimately generated as 3 matches?
2022-05-28 22:34:49
It's friendly so it's single that was tripled ..
So seems some bug in mach generation..

I took a closer look at the mentioned matches and I want to share some of my observations and conclusions.

A.) Match Portugal - Chile.
A1) Portugal - Chile 2:4 , mid= 39145180
A2) Portugal - Chile 1:0 , mid= 39145181
A3) Portugal - Chile 4:2 , mid= 39145182

Portugal lost 1st match, but won the next 2.
Was there any difference between 1st match and matches A2 and A3?

The answer is yes, there was a big difference in the defence of Portugal.
Player number 4, center back, was on match A1: Angelo Zé Freitas do Amaral and he was the main cause for Portugals weak defence.
On matches A2 and A3, on number 4 there was another player: Ernesto Pessoa.

With Pessoa on number 4, Portugal was more stable on the defence and could win both matches.

B.) Match Ísland U21 - Malta U21
B1) Ísland U21 - Malta U21 1:1 , mid= 39133180
B2) Ísland U21 - Malta U21 3:0 , mid= 39133181

Same question: Was there any difference between match B1 and B2?

Island started match B2 with 10 different players!

Conclusion:
These matches cannot been observed as an argument about the randomness of the match engine (ME).
On the contrary! The matches between Portugal and Chile can be considered as a strong indication that the ME takes into account the players and their skills.

It was scheduled 3 times - as seen in bug topic

that problem was reported more than a half a year ago, still not fixed

Question
This season is shorter so players age quicker, I guess they will always be shorter or not?

This means a player aged 30 shouldn't drop any skills even if not playing, we must work out the weeks lost which is 2 weeks? 2 weeks x [17/18yo to 30yo] 2 x 12.5 = 25 which is almost 2 seasons therefore they age 2 years slower 32yo instead of 30yo?

Another way would be adding 2 more teams to leagues then we have 2 more weeks a season
thoughts?

it seems like the Devs want it like that. More matches, less high end players, less lifetime for players.
