Subject: [GD] Sokker – main motivation

2020-04-10 16:35:48
transfer market is great, updates are exciting, i love the competition in the championships (and I have never won)
watching young players grow is great, especially when you find out they're having big talent

I love the semplicity and the human dimension of the game, with the slow times of two matches a week.
And the game's roots: the 2D graphic of Centurion and the tactic editor of Sensible World of Soccer.
For this, thanks a lot to Greg and his staff!!!
:-)

I've been here on Sokker for 13 years
I love Sokker

main reasons:

- editor/tactics (best tactic manager ever)
- match engine (you can see your work on editor!)
- 2d view (absolutely better then 3d for understand tactics, player movement and work on editor)

+1

new games go faster. With one game a day, daily updates ... that makes many people feel attracted, but they are the same ones that later leave it just as fast.

Those of us who have been in sokker for a long time is because we appreciate reality. You have to wait longer for each game but, on the other hand, it allows more time to prepare for the games and makes people take longer to tire of the game. And if you play champions, league, cup and CC it is more than enough to be entertained all week XDD.

- tactic editor and 2D match

In my personal case I have been in sokker for 12 years and my attraction to the game has remained the same since my beginnings.

I like the game:

- 2D visualization.
- The possibility of carrying out, correcting and changing tactics.
- The possibility of being in contact with different people from all over the world.

I hope sokker continues to grow and be even more engaging

the heart of the games that should not be modified:

- The Training system is as good as tacos de tripitas,
- I agree with 2D match viewer

1- Draw series at the beginning of each season as in WC classification
2- Remove waiting before matches for non-plus users.
3- Remove creepy faces from players. Leave room for imagination.
4 - WC Statistics, Champions and premier leagues
5 - Champions with qualifying series

I love sokker
the way that we make personal tactics in the editor with that freedon and then appears on the match engine in the 2D viewer is unique

More cups, also for the smaller teams.
Now the big teams have some extra funds from the CC. and many people will be thinking now for major clubs it's small money.

but for example even if it is only 500k extra in a season. It can make a big diffrence in transfermarket.

For me, the most important things are:

- The fact that I can watch and improve the impact of my tactics in gameplay, 2D viewer is indeed unique and must be kept at any cost.
- NT: running as NT manager and all the election stuff, training players for NT and all emotions that come from that, emotions that involve a whole community and bring people together

14 years for me...

Training system is awesome, youth squad also but it could be even better imo...
ME is, for being as old and updateless as it is, it's awesome! But could be better aswell
Community can't! Seriously, if it weren't for all these cool managers I'd be loooong gone!

Agree with pretty much all of the comments here. Main motivators for me:
- Training players to your NT. The training system is pretty much perfect, I wouldn’t touch that
- Creating winning tactics to outperform teams with better quality. I used to be able to do that in the past. Tactics is one of the main things to make users stick around
- Match viewer. I played the oHTer game in the past. Stopped it quite fast after joining sokker due to the ability to watch the matches live and see how your tactics work
- Rather slow pace. I wouldn’t want to play and AD HD game where there’s a match every day and training five times a week. This is just perfect, I’ve waited for Thursdays and Sundays due to training update and league games and still do. Monday is the ”day off” but even in the big book the big man had a day off. And I still find things to do here even on Mondays or Tuesdays.
- The community. I’ve made friends all over the world during the years. Or at least enemies. And had lots of good laughs which is the reason to have a hobby, to have good time. And sokker is not just a game I play, it’s a hobby to me.
