Subject: [GD] Sokker – main motivation

I was the first user in India approx. 14 years ago.
I was initially attracted to the fact that we could see the players running around and accordingly set tactics.
I used to play hattrick earlier before I switched over to Sokker.
Over the years as there's no real competition for me in the league, I found myself getting bored while watching the match viewer and so I rarely watch the matches nowadays. I've pretty much had the same tactics also for 5 or 6 seasons. It's only when I'm playing the Champions Cup that I see the match viewer.

What I do still love about sokker is that it is unpredictable like in real life. The best version of sokker would be 1 that is closest to real life. I see a lot of folks complaining that cards are not handed out fairly or players are getting injured for too long or training is slow etc. I guess I'm old school but isn't that how things are in the real world as well??

I also love the fact that so many great players that are playing for so many great clubs all came out of my jr. school.

You'll can change a lot of things in sokker but please keep the unpredictability.

I`m here 14 years - I like the tactics system, the junior school (maybe old system was better) , the training when thursday you see which player has up some level , or when you pull a young man out of school... Sunday's games :)) And as a former national coach - matches against other countries and communication with other coaches and friendships

something not mentioned but sokker has cheaper plus price and nothing in the plus package do not gives advantage to users that have it i think we should keep that.
i know it will be a lot of -1 if i suggest increase the price but maybe donation button for development will not be so bad idea . I will suggest maybe to those that can to buy plus to stimulate the process but assume we want to see some results first.

My honest answer:

After all the disappointments, mainly because of DEVs, my main motivation is not losing my team after 14 years of playing.

And looking at the answers, I'm afraid the next disappointment is in the making, this time caused by dinosaurs!

Tactics and 2D viewer

2 key things that set sokker apart from otherwise superior (sorry) hattrick are:
2d match engine - the core of this game.
potential ability - makes it more fun and unpredictable.

15 years in the game, being MOD and LA. For me, the one and only thing for being in the game so many years has always been:

Watching the players as in a real match, not being you who control them, it's what makes me stay here.

BTW, staying has been possible because you can keep your team with a high performance with just a single connection in one or two weeks. Please don't change that.

My motivation to keep playing is to train some good youth players and maybe rise to 1st division again in a couple of seasons.

The things I like most about this game is the 2D player, the tactics editor, and the way the training works (the talent, possibility of random pops, ...).

The slow pace of the game is very good for me because I don't have enough time most days (now is the exception of course), but I would also like it if there were some implementations to make it more interesting in the short term for new, younger players.

The training the way it is as it provides challanges, same for youth school. We play for challenges otherwise it's boring. I don't want sokker faster paced than it is now. Providing additional competitions which one may join or not will only increase the gap between users economically, but being forced to play all new competitions adds time that I need to provide for the game, so will increase pace of the game.

I like youth school the way it is since it provies a challnge finding out talent and being forced to train your players to really make money, that way it is more realistic.

Creating tasctics has allways been tedious, I rather want to so a positive change there since it has ever been an issue especially for new users to understand the works of the tactic editor.

Something important I forgot: Without the support of tools like Sokkerviewer or Sokkerorganizer the game is not worthwile to be played any longer. If these kind of tools are made useless by the upcoming changes I won' bother to log into sk any longer. I will certainly not start to trace progress and history of my club by hand. In Sk I can see pretty much all my teams history, former players etc.

I was reading the possible changes and I agree with all but the acceleration of the game, many people, most of us can only connect once a week or even less, if you play more than one official game a week you will probably leave the game and I have 5 years, two additional ideas: international competitions that are official, add for example one for the champion and runner-up and another for 3rd and 4th league and finally that you can see the game in 2D for android, visualization of the game for android , in the rest I agree 100%, maybe they make it more difficult and more things to do, that would alienate people, the simplicity of the game is what keeps it alive like others like hattrick and trophymanager, and of course Better than no one else, the display of games with moderate timing
