Subject: [GD] Sokker – main motivation
I was reading the possible changes and I agree with all but the acceleration of the game, many people, most of us can only connect once a week or even less, if you play more than one official game a week you will probably leave the game and I have 5 years, two additional ideas: international competitions that are official, add for example one for the champion and runner-up and another for 3rd and 4th league and finally that you can see the game in 2D for android, visualization of the game for android , in the rest I agree 100%, maybe they make it more difficult and more things to do, that would alienate people, the simplicity of the game is what keeps it alive like others like hattrick and trophymanager, and of course Better than no one else, the display of games with moderate timing
Many very nice things have been written! I've been playing Sokker here since the end of 2006, I was coach of several nations for almost 20 U21 seasons and with this background information I want to list my motivation for the game here:
1) Training
Very good system. I wouldn't make any major changes here.
2) U21/NT
It is a lot of fun to lead the U21 and the NT. It also promotes the community, but unfortunately you have to do something against the small nations.
3) League games/Cup games
I used to enjoy the league games very much! But I wanted to take part in some international competition. The Champions Cup is really only for a reserved elite.
4) Plus and no pay-to-win model
You don't need money to win in this game. This is one of the most important motivations for me. I hate that you could win everything with money. That's why we have Plus here and that's a great thing. With Plus you don't win games, but you increase your fun and support the game.
5) 2D/3D Visualization
I play many browser games (Hattrick, Profurgol, Buzzerbeater), but none of them has a phenomenal visual simulation! That is why I am still here
6) The best do not always win
I also like the fact that it is not always the best that win here, otherwise it would be absolutely unrealistic. There should always be a chance of surprises here.
7) Youth school
I find the current system better than the old one. The old one was far too perfect. Here the manager should decide whether the youth player should be trained or test the player to see if he is good for something.
8) No motivation, but it worries me enormously how the gap between the big nations and small nations gets bigger when you look at the U21 and NT level. This also applies between the richer and poorer clubs.

Freedom of choice
It is something I forgot but really appreciate about Sokker.
You can choose what you want to do. Build big stadium or don't, have coaches or not, have YS or not, buy or sell whoever you want, etc. There are people who play the game in a way that I wouldn't, but I love the fact that they can.
It's worrying a bit though, to see that many people are asking for various bans and limits. Don't take away our options, if something is unbalanced, balance it, don't ban it.
I am happy that more options and more approaches to playing the game have been announced. I just hope that all will be balanced.

+1
thank you. I am also worried about people willing to support all kinds of limmitations and restrictions without much consideration
i dont tell them how they should play the game and they should do the same

Balance can be achieved only if limits applied one way or another if something is not fair it's normal to be adjustested no matter how much we post here devs will decide what fits in their strategy so anyone can post what he thinks
Let me give you a hypothetical.
Let's say that a nation is unhealthy because people are eating too much cake.
I would try to discourage people from eating cake, with ads, taxes, etc. Just like what countries are doing with cigarettes.
You would just ban cake.
I don't want to live in a world where sviktorov can ban cake :P

Another man qualifying people and trying to be funny I said quite opposite do opposite propose what you want but it doesn't mean it will be accepted.
Never say banning anything this is particularly sensitive topic especially when cakes are my weakness. So no worries cakes will long live :)
Edit: writing from phone it complete my words.

And I never said anything to ban taxes etc are limitations so you pretty much have same opinion as me :)
Well, I was talking against bans and limits, and you said something about that limits need to be applied... Don't know, can't say that I understand 100%, but it seemed like disagreeing.
All I want to say is that lot of people have an idea for how this game is supposed to be played, and they want rules to enforce it.

I have to say that much of what sir_james says I agree with.
If we all played the game (or had to play the game because of some rule or ban) the same way, the game would be pretty boring. I like the "flexibility" right now.

Why I love sokker:
1) National teams - NT and U21 are why I am still more or less active. Common goal, communication with other users, watching NT matches...
2) Community - if most people I know stopped playing the game I would be really demotivated. Every friend lost is a tragedy.
3) Training system - incredibly good training system, I have always enjoyed waiting for Thursdays. Now it is more of "Thursday again, what a pleasant surprise", because I have less time. But Thursdays are good anyway.
4) 2D/3D matches - I have much less time to watch the matches, but it is one of the best aspects of this game!
What would demotivate me?
Losing the reasons why I love sokker. Game being too fast. Success depending on pay2win and spending more time on sokker rather than learning how the game works and using it.
