My wishes and my suggestions

TACTICAL EDITOR
* Please, do not change this editor for another one. It's the heart of sokker.
It is the most "accurated + easy-learn" I ever see in soccer browser game I play. Much more then other editors, we can see and understand in-game changes related to our tactical changes. But, for sure it needs an update.
Over the inferface upgrade (switch, multiple selection, etc...), my suggestion to improve it are:

* Actually we have the pitch squared in a 5x7 space: for each square we set player positions.
You could square the pitch in a 7x7 space, adding external squares (7 on right column, 7 on left column).
External squares will be used for trow-in and corner-kicks placement.

MATCH ENGINE
* Actually, as I can see, the team performance is too much related to strikers performance. Specifically, strikers play too much on ther primary skills (speed/tecnique/shooting). If possible, I would set differently the % of ME choices for players.
For strikers choices: less "running/dribbling", more "passing"
For midfielders: less "passing", more "dribbling/shooting"
* Passing quality: increase difficult for long passing, decrease for short passing
* Make easy penalties
* Different choices shoot/passing for free kicks (actually we have almost shoots)

MATCH SETTING PAGE
Add a 2nd additional tactic.
Add 1 more sobstitution player (field player, not gkp).
Modify orders page, with multiple selection numbers for sobstitution, in single order/row.
(Example: Red card or missing player / Pinco Pallino / Position 2-3-4-5)

I know it... But actually squares for trow-in and corners are the same of lateral positioning.
This proposal will not complicate the editor with more functionality, it will just add tactical option using the same system we are using now. I think it's an adding proposal not a complicating/revising one.

If users and DEVs agree with it, adding 7+7 lateral squares, we will have 14 lateral positioning to set.
For example, don't you like to set a different corner-kick with many players inside the penalty area, ready to defend or score?

I agree with this. But at the same time, it's a minimal improve.
Do you think my proposal (7left+7right squares) is too much hard to apply/understand, related to new options and users' fun it can generate?

tactical editor: i like what Sir_james sad, simply set in that way, easy and functional

engine: I agree with Tano. Engine is good but there are aspects that can be improved

match setting: I don't like 2nd tactic, i prefere one for entire match. I totally agree about conditional orders, we need more.

I like converting flash + minimal improvements :)

But it is a good idea to have lateral squares or something for the throw-ins.

Nice that people still want to make this game continue and after a lot of years coaching U21 teams, studying this area in the game and see the evolution of strategies, I realized that we have reached a limit that cannot be crossed if still be on this way, but in my opinion to change this and create a new challenge not only to U21 coaches but the rest of people in sokker, it's quite simple and I'll show you why... i have also other ideas that i will show in other topics, but for me this is CRUCIAL!

If you want to start changing something about the game, I don't even think about changing the engine, but rather giving more options for strategies for coaches, we've already had a giant evolution of just being able to use 1 to 2 tactics, but it's still stuck... we usually use a second tactic when everything goes wrong in the 1st so the 2nd tactic is the tactic of trying to win at all costs, although I started a different method, which I call fusion tactics for using 2 tactics with different formations or 2 tactics with different patterns despite the same formation and changing during the game, but since you can made it only 4 changes, is still very limited.

So, my idea is changing 2 to 4 tactics to we use, the idea is the coach create basically his main tactic but also put other tactics during the game based on his strategy, a defensive tactic when the team is on defense for example or if you want to put this tactic to that last 10 min to still have the result, a offensive one also with the same base as the defensive one, thinking in one specific time and also the old 2nd tactic that is the tactic that we try everything to win.... and instead of just 4 changes on tactic, i suggest about 20 to 30 possibilities to change this and also put a option to use some formation only when is on defense or offense to get something more interesting, i know that is not easy maybe make something like that, but something near to this i think will change a lot the strategies in game and will make the NT/U21 coaches more excited to study more the tactics, games will be much more dynamic and will be a new challenge that everyone wants so much.

It's to prevent having 100 topics all about going on the same thing. This forum is by far the fastest growing forum I've ever seen in Sokker. We just want to keep it clear. There's allready enough chaos as it is.

First of all I agree that ME must be finally changed again after 8 real years of pause.
For the start, is far from beeing perfect and on the other hand almost everybody learned it's tricks so there is nothing more to discover, it's just monotone.

This must be available only approaching opponent's last 16m. It is just unreal for the rest of the pitch, we aren't in the 80' anymore. I agree that midfielders must be more affective in offensive and I disagree to turn them all into Ronaldinho and Messi, technique is striker's main skill. Also, I think that strikers should act more like midfielders, pass more and build the game more. It's just unreal for the strikers only to try score from almost all impossible angles. This is a big mistake of the actual match engine.
