Subject: [change] Trading reform

"Correct me if I am wrong but I dont remember any such discussion on the international forum about how trading is ruining the game since I started to play the game in 2005 until now."

Years ago there were definitely these discussions. These discussions I believe were also brought up by MOD cometer within the mod forum numerous times.

The fact it got it's own name "daytrading" shows it was an issue worth naming.

Daytrading is the way to get rich, and it has plagued sokker from day 1. But it only plagues for as long as there are few people doing it, the more people that do it, the less of an issue it becomes (less bargains, more people going for appropriate amounts), but the more people that do it, the more it increases inflation within the game, so the more it causes issues there.

I like the idea of diminishing returns for quicker sales, and I love the idea of a limited number of transfers per season. Both will go a long way to making this practice less productive

@Raul

Game Balance: The transfer system promotes daily trading and benefits managers, who are slowly gathering their founds to invest after a few seasons in their “dream team”

Hello and thank you for your work.

I would like to know if, considering what is written in "Game balance", you have thought about some of the solutions proposed in this discussion or others to solve the problem. Thanks

A fifth topic is missing, "Wildtraders ban", I am going to open it !

"women trading" is also a good candidate for a new topic.

to day I found a player selling at 4562500€
this player was sold 8 days ago at 3146750€
that could not be allow,

to avoid this, a player with less than 8 days in the team , I suggest to do a 50% amount tax

And I saw two old users who decided to buy up all best young players on TL last weekend. One of them bought players for 34M and other one for 25M euro. If I compared the players they bought with similar ones from previous weeks, they were overpaying each of them by 50-100%. But they had many 15-20M sales lately, so that money is nothing for them. This is the real problem that requires some solution.

As the selling club, do you actually care who you sell to though?

If these traders didn't exist you might find that you don't get anywhere near as much for a player that you were expecting on selling. From my own experience, I do find that rather dispiriting and I doubt I'm alone with that. I'd go as far to say, that having players sold for less than you think they are worth is a reason people have left the game in the past. In fact, I know this is the case.

I'm not a trader but for a number of reasons I'm glad they exist which goes against the norm I have to admit.

thanks, I also wanted to point out to this. These people who try to buy players for bargains actually often help the seller to raise the price so it is not a total robbery.

You got some thing mixed up.

Players are just more expensive these days because there is more money in the game than ever.

Traders are not gonna overpay for your player. You can be sure of that.
Only thing you can see after selling a player to a day trader is him selling the player for even more.

I think it is you who has got things mixed up ;-)

What the traders are effectively assuring is that your player won't sell for a rubbish amount because they will bid that player up until a potential profit disappears for them.

That's basically why there is bottom price range on just about any position otherwise you would find some players would sell for ridicuously low amounts at times.

I never mentioned anything about them overpaying previously but they are helping to maintain consistent(ish) pricing within the market.

It is you who has it mixed up. Those are two separate issues. The first is being talked about all the time even though it has a simple solution and the second one which I consider much more serious, no one even discussed

Oh, expecting to sell for a decent amount.
I thought you meant for a high amount.

Yea, traders can help you not to flop :)

All would be better if we just had more users...

All would be better if we just had more users...

The one thing that you would get close to 100% agreement on within the entire sokker community.

I am for the trading reform. It is really annoying when I sell player for 20k while similar players go for 2-3M

and this person ruined the market with young players for last 3 weeks. He was extremely overpaying all players he bought and also many others where he was involved in bidwars. I can provide the numbers.

now I can see all the frustration in this topic caused by the market activities
