Subject: [change] Training System

TRAINING SYSTEM medium/high priority

Actually we have a good training system (exepted for GKP training that is really bad), but too much locked on player orders in matches.

* Always keep the number of direct trained players up to 10, never more
This limit allows Managers to have at max half own-made players for their teams. In this way the Transfer Market will stay necessary, being active as a column of the game

* Keep only total time played in matches to calculate the % of training, with no relation to match order.
Instead of match order, we can use a players' slot system selecting players for direct training (6-10 slots depending from the trained skill)
Match orders will still work for players choices according with ME
This system will allow Manager to use more tactical solution in matches for their fun, without unbalance the actual training ratio.

* GKP training is the matter. Low number of users choose this training because it's insatisfactory (for trainee or income)
First of all, I would set the wage for "Keeping" as a standard skill.
Then, I think there is a simple solution.
Add one slot for GKP training, unrelated with time played in matches, with 50% training granted.
Setting GKP training (2+1 slots), double general training for all team players.

* Please, introduce age limit for trainers... we can have a 200 years old coaches/assistants ^^

FORM system medium/high priority

I think Managers need to handle, but never control this skill.
Luck must be free and random... and a bit reasonable for all users.
I suggest to introduce a Form Reset on Week 0. Starting a new season, all player's form is randomly set on a value from 7 to 11, then it will increase or decrease as standard.

Further more, maybe it can be introduced (if it already does not exist) a "Form best handling":
90' time in matches /week >> form go to increase, less or more time in matches >> form go to decrease
winning the match >> form go to increase, losing the match >> form go to decrease

Maybe, Form value can be set equal to Stamina (0-11 instead 0-17), and the reset would be on value 4-8.
This method make fast to reach max and minimal value week-by-week.

STAMINA system low/medium priority

I think this skill can be handled differently, keeping Stamina unrelated by talent.
Introduce a STAMINA Reset on Week 0. Starting a new season, all player's form is randomly set on a value from 4 to 8, then it will increase or decrease according to training.

It will fit with reality: players are coming back from holidays. In addition it is much more real that a young player can have same/better stamina than a old player; actually it is exactly the opposite (young needs stamina, old stay always with high stamina).
Further more, managers will have one more choice to make. Fast performance with high stamina or long plan with a different training?

Maybe, Stamina value can be set equal to other skills (0-17 instead 0-11), and the reset would be on value 7-11.

the only thing i want to change in training system is to remove the rule of wensdays order to ignore the orders from sunday rest of training is good for me and i do not want change

+1 for form system, something like that would be nice...
the game too much depends on form

for example, two users bought same attackers in 10 form, the first one drop to 0 for few weeks, and other one of secong user go to 18. It too much depends on the random, and who have more luck, we all know the difference between 0 and 18 form. It is BIG difference and it wil be nice to reduce that if it is possible.

yep form is super random thing had players that for several years that never moved above 5 form but i do not want to train form it should be more relied of who plays and who not

Does form needs to have 18 steps aswell?
Low form, normal form, high form and 10% difference in each step...that way a player in low form plays at 80%, normal form at 90% and high form at 100%. It's more than enough imo
Stamina should increase also with playing matches. And that can have 18 steps imo...
GK should have 2 skills in stead of 1. GK positioning and GK reflex. That way GK are not "finished" at 18 or 19y old...which is not realistic imo...

Yes for all but i want to training any player in different skill, one for week.

Example, i training defender for Def, keeper for gk, playmaker for mid and striker for att in one week

For stamina i don't agree...the value remaing

For me, the most important things to vary for training are two:

The form must remain random because its unpredictability makes the game fascinating but today it is too decisive and affects games if not entire tournaments.
The classic example is the world championship where on a couple of occasions I have not been able to use 3/4 stronger holders of the team! THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!!

We need to find a way to check, at least in percentage, the value of the form!

Finally, I would like to be able to customize the skills in the weekly training session for each player while maintaining the same maximum limit of trainable players.
So if I train defense I can train at the same time 5 in speed 2in defense 2 in technique and 1 in direction.

this will eliminate beauty of current system and will make all players go easily to max skills do not make sense for me in training we need only slightly changes

I will write only about objections, as u can assume I am ok with the discussion of the other points:

* Please, introduce age limit for trainers... we can have a 200 years old coaches/assistants ^^

No. A lot of players have brought very expensive trainers that now are old. Take away the age, rather, but do not mess with hundreds of players that have older trainers in their teams. what will happen exactly? they will disappear?

I suggest to introduce a Form Reset on Week 0. Starting a new season, all player's form is randomly set on a value from 7 to 11, then it will increase or decrease as standard.

No. To have an high form is linked not only to random, but also to the way you managed to make your players play evenly throughout the league. If one manager succeeded in doing that why should he be penalized with a general fall of the form in his team? this principle rewards the most disordered managers and penalizes the more mindful.

winning the match >> form go to increase, losing the match >> form go to decrease

No. This way you are destroying the possibility for players that enter a superior league to cope with their foes.
They will obviously lose the majority of games during the first season, so after few weeks you will see the form of the players of the newly promoted teams drop to zero. This will be a sentence to death for those teams who have just hard earned their promotion.

Introduce a STAMINA Reset on Week 0. Starting a new season, all player's form is randomly set on a value from 4 to 8, then it will increase or decrease according to training.

No. The impact of the stamina fall will be disgraceful on the playing capacity of the teams (and NT). Moreover, you will be forced to consume at least 3-4 training sessions to fully recover, to see it fall again after 10 weeks. To finish with, by doing so you add a random element that penalizes the clever managers and rewards the lucky ones.

- introduce form rest is not good for NT teams as well do not see it happen

Changing the training system would not be a very high priority for me. It works very well for the most part.

So for me: -1

a big but on this side issue, which someone here has already mentioned:

But what you could do here is if a player plays as MID on Sunday (training pass) and plays as DEF on Wednesday, then he loses the training only because of the game on Wednesday. That shouldn't happen anymore and is really unnecessary. This misunderstanding should be corrected. If the player played as DEF on Wednesday, he only benefits from the training minutes on Sunday as MID.

yep i mentioned this several times maybe should be separate topic im for this only change

Then I invite you to create this thread. The more concrete we get with ideas, the easier they become to implement :).
