Subject: »[idea] old players, old coaches

It's written in the rules that the coaches may retire at some point and if that's going to be implemented, we might need another method to get coaches. This would also be a good way to re-employ some ex-franchise players. The idea in short:

1) It would be somewhat random like in the current coach recruitment. Making a player a coach might only give you a slight advantege advantage over other methods but that way you could still make use of those older players whose skills have already declined.

2) The skills would be determined by players experience. Atm. that skill is relatively useless so it could become more useful and that imo it would be the most realistic way anyway.

3) Just like in the current recruitment: the better coach you are looking for, the more it costs. You could still set the skills you want like now but the more precise coach you're looking for, the more expensive it's going to be. Also, not every old player has divine or close to that experience so (on top level) you'd be using this on players who already have been a big part of your team.

4) Some kind of limitation for newly buyed players. Staying in the team for x amount of seasons of playing enough official games before they can be turned into coaches.

It would be nice to see also things such as the coach becoming really good in the skills he used as a player but it might be best to keep it rather simple.

I would be very disappointed in the devs if they actually decided to implement this instead of a million more important things.

I mean, having this option wouldn't hurt, but it is so unnecessary.

It would add an extra motivation for many users. It's common to read people who want to train their juniors to make them a big star and play in their NTs. Another step for these players would be become a trainer of their team. And it would be rather simple to implement

making player a coach, based on exp is making 40year old player on transfer list worth milions if he can become magical coach.

This my all star player Akif Hrnjadović, but on based wht i can expect that he becomes magical coach and by that stays in club as legend. Small chances.

It doesn't need to be direct conversion. The experience could be the maximum level he could reach, but there could be a random part

Its hard to get magical coach by regrutation and price in coach market is like 15 times regrutation price, adding this option would make it more complex

anything then current hiring of coaches will be better :)

And what about trainers 120 yo? They could become players too :-)
Seriously, skill's trainer could down with her salary, as skills players, about their 80 years or something else ...

Sorry but I don't see any sense in this idea. You would keep player for several seasons, then tried to turn him into a coach but he would have bad skill distribution - then what? You fire him. Either no one would use this option or someone would buy many old player with full experience and just waited to turn them into coaches.

Well, that's what we do currently with the "roulette". And even the juniors work like that...

Especially because it will mess up with the transfer market. Lot of old players will not be sell anymore or they will be bought on the purpose to become coach and then fired.

Problem is that new users need to be able to buy these cheap old players for their teams.

All ideas which can potentially impact the new users experience should be reviewed very carefully...
