Friedly matches are only for training and for me boring. I play only corner tactic, becasue want save my players becasue it is risk injuries. I play arcade for fun...

could be great, chance system friendly match and make B team league.....

It's not quite the same but it'll be a solution for lots of new(er) managers to have a better income revenue in what I have to offer as an alternative for the B-friendlies...

Generate a cup with 4-team play-offs! 6 guaranteed rounds of cupmatches for every manager!
After round 6 numbers 1 and 2 go through to the next round in which a regular cup deadmatch will go on as we know it now. Winner goes through... This way you'll easily quadruple the income for younger teams, make the cup much more interesting AND you don't have to play friendlies with pointless tactics...
For the "friendlies", replace that with a U21 national league!
8 teams, only existing of Youthplayers AND U21 players who are too young for the first team!
Set an age restriction of 20y old for players to be able to go to the first team.
Players younger than 20 must first play for the U21 squad.
BUT with this 1 thing MUST change! Eliminate the restriction that players have to play in order to get training!
Give the players who played a decent benefit for the experience gained on the pitch and stop these pointless friendlies.
And to eliminate ALL players to get full training without playing, you set a Maximum of 10 players you can set for a specific training, even pace, but delete the fact that pace trains slower.

And IF you really want to play a friendly, play an arcade game in stead. Simplicity itself :-)

For B-team matches I think the U21 rule makes it difficult for many managers, as most are also training players older as 21.

But some form of a real competition with B team would be nice. As long as players won't be able to play 2 matches each week, in both teams.

The cup idea, it looks a bit like EL and CL set up if I understand correctly.

It is more matches that are interesting, teams will make more money, and it will reduce the number of friendlies as all managers will be longer in cup leagues before knockout phase starts.
Could be fun, but it is something managers have to get used to, I think in most countries the cup matches are all knockout matches.

+1 to your idea

That is why I said that training shouldn't be depending of matches played! Training is training, matches are matches, simple.

+1 that's the true point.
B-team happen because we get training for younger players usually, but few users get a B-team (and old players) for A-team bench : so we really need another boring and artificial "U21" B-team competition ?

Not to say that i (and many of us) dont play the cup with a A-team and prefer training a B-team; that make the cup competition boring and artificial too...

"overall training" not directly depending of match is a request... for years !

If the U21 competition will exist, it won't be boring cause of the overall lack of skill for almost all players in that competition! It will be slower, but prizes should be awarded for these teams as well...

I like the idea of replacing the friendlies (keep them for arcade matches) by U21 league. It would be much more fun and competitive than now. But I am not sure where to play the cup?

The other thing I am not sure about is the possible training side effects. Player receives training even though he didnt play during the week. Those who played might receive some bonus training or experience - that is understandable.

But then, If you were to train the same number of players as today, it would meant that many young players in this U21 team would not receive training if you wanted to train older players in A team as well.

1 solution...
U21 TEAM and SENIOR TEAM = 2 Teams = 2 groups which you can train.
U21 Team trains 2x faster than Senior Team, Senior Team gains 2x more exp

And another thing, form!
Player doesn't play, form goes down!
Player plays, Form will evolve depending on 2 factors:
- Team Result
- personal influence in a match!

Make a system...
Match played... +2
Win... +2
Draw... 0
Defeat... -2
Assist... +1
Goal... +1
Goal conceded... -1
Only for GK and DEF... clean sheet bonus... +3

Max up +5
Max down -5

What do you mean with..."I'm not sure where to play the cup?"
2020-04-22 21:24:32
Can I play my entire first team squad (who are all 19 and under) in my U21 team and gain this additional x2 training as well please ;-)

I have to say I'm not a fan of any of the following
U21 team
B team
Womens team etc

For one reason. Depending how they would be implemented if any of these led to even more money coming into the game I'd think they were a really bad idea.

The U21 team just seems to be an excuse for having your main team and being able to get all this additional training on the youngsters and thus funds from player sales in order to finance the main team. Surely such a move would make it even harder for newer teams to catch up because long established teams already have decent coaches in place so their youngsters in the U21s would in effect get more training and so more money when it comes to transfers too.

You have to choose IF a player moves on to the senior squad prior to his 22th birthday but that move is Irreversible in 1 team.
And I don't think it's a way to make the gap between new and old teams "greater" as it is now...
But it's also only logical that a 15y old team is way better than a new team, don't you think? Why bother playing the game if you may not be much better than other teams...

Well off course! That's the entire concept of football IRL AND here!
I think teams should be able to grow...
If that's not the case, then why bother at all?
