Subject: [idea] auto-bidding and/or direct selling.
-1 on all.
The current market system works just fine for me. Even if it's sometimes very frustrating to see a bid going just above yours multiple times until you decide to drop the pace and then the player's sold for 1 bid higher than yours.
Help... I just realised I'm a price pusher :-p

What a surprise ! :-D
What a surprise ! :-D
Yeah, I push the price up, because I usually am left empty-handed...
That's why I'm a better salesman, than a buyer :-p

what do you mean by "A second after the deadline, it is immideatly clear who won the player." ?
Maybe you dont understand the auto-bid system... That's happen like that for Ebay for example (as far as i remember ) : you put a max price but no one know what is your max price, its just following a bid until your max price; that never stop buyers to add bid by hand, never stop buyers to rise again over a max-price. Where is the cheating (?) Selling at high price ?...
But whatever is the system, cheating happen and actually happen without the need of any robots, auto-bid ! So i dont understand this argument "we can't calculate a market price" it's false ! (I personally receive 2 millions tax for a sell over the market price, not my fault or cheating, but its happen)

I do understand the auto bid system.
If you ask 2 friends, 1 to do a redicoules high bid, and the second an even higher bid. This way cheating is still possible. You need 2 other to help cheating and that makes it harder, but the auto bid is far from cheat free.

But what the point, i really don't understand the cheat ? Selling at higher/lower price ? Like i said we can actually do this without the need of auto bid and we don't need such a "complex" cheat (?) to sell for a friendly prices just now! All is about watching prices and admins control, that's another topic but not particularly a problem introduce by direct selling or auto-bid ?

The direct sales system would be simple to control, we quickly see the cheat.
I would like that + the current sales system.
At least those who have no time can buy players.

In my opinion it would not be easy to control. Direct selling would introduce many variables.
I could pay a player a lot because:
- I have several injured players
- has the skills I need (maybe I have a particular game tactic)
- has a name I like (well yes, there are also users who look at that)
and much more...

if you overpaid or oversell a player actually for ANY REASONS admins can (should!) abord a transfer or send you a tax, or maybe... ban.
Does this controls are efficient ? i dont know....But that's not the question here, auto-bid or direct selling do not introduce mechanisms to counter a price controler system.

If you accept direct transfer only for the player with + 1 000 000 valuable and only 2 transfers/season, it's easy to control.
And you can also block the price, you take the last same transfer (on the normal market), you add a percentage, and you block up and down.
Exemple :
Player normally sell at 5 millions, only possible to sell enter 4 to 6M.
The goal is not to binge but to allow managers who do not have time to buy. Managers who want to win + will put on the normal market.

So the direct sell option is in addition to the bidding, I didn't understand that before.
Very interesting but I would be still worried about the time the mods will spend to check all the frauds.

'frauds' already happen ! Not all is cheating, but players sell twice more or less than a normal price. Once again, this topic/idea will never resolve "cheating" / controlling prices that already exist.
Another concern would be the new users setting a direct sell price very low by lack of knowledge of the TL market.
But once again, the idea is very interesting and deserve attention !

Even if an auto-bidding option would be implemented you still need to be present at the moment of the deadline (if you really want a player and want to overbid a last-minute bid), so it wouldn't change that much.
But it also wouldn't hurt the game I think, so I guess +1.
I'm not that big on the direct selling option, there are to many downsides like previously mentioned in this topic. So -1 on that.
