Same could be said for 19y to some degree, but especially 20y old juniors are especially pointless. Devs certainly agree that pointless features don't add anything. Giving them higher abilities than 10 for example would add some more flavour to the game and excitiment and soem use to even consider keeping a 20y old junior. I am certain that many users fire 20y old juniors immediately, just like I.

raising cap would not be enough, juniors progress would have to be boosted when junior is +19yr to catch up with those who left the youth academy at younger age

It was just a rough idea, if you can add anything more useful feel free to do so. The point I would want to stress is that 20y need to be of use or it's no point having them at all. So far 20y have hardly any use or anythign aboput them that could add suspension.

I agree with that .. even divine 20yr junior with great skill distribution is worth much less than 17yr outstanding junior

it is not a honeypot but a game that generates a lot of youth every week! since no more twins are generated, it just needs these 20-year-olds etc.

I'm not sure the best way forward with this, as it would be nice if they had some use, but giving "bonus" skills wouldn't be right either.

It may be better that those entering the youth school, cannot physically ever come out as a 20yo. However doing this may mess up the entire youth system, or take a lot of behind the scenes calculations to make it practical.

It is a good point that has been raised, but not an easy fix I presume

It has occured to me that boosting pace to excellent for a 20y might allready be of tremendous help and could allready enhance future options on such players significantly.

True I was also thinking of the possibility to remove 20y juniors at all. Might also be possible to add Amateurteams maybe? Though the latter might complicate things to much. On the other hand if it were optional....

Maybe they are useful for the NT in little countries?

One of the feature that I love from Sokker is that there are few limits: we are the ones to put them according to our knowledge or whatever. I think it's a good feature :)

Maybe useful in small countries... But small countries are useless for competition (but thats another topic and problem)

Well that's not a big problem : we can just sack all 20y and that's it. fixed.

The problem is globally larger, usually 16y are sellable, and mostly youngs over 16y are un sellable.
Ssometimes a big star (lucky toss) happen around 18y to save all your expenses during years.

youth schools re usually too much expensive for no return (except with great luck). I calculate my total on 15 seasons, benefice = around +300k/season (Less than one trading). I just keep YS for NT and home-made youngs training... for the fun.

Well, economy works like that:

The more YS open, the more juniors on the market, so lower prices for them, low profit of the YS

The less YS open, the less juniors on the market, so bigger prices for them, big profit of the YS

And, if the balance gets negative, nobody forces you to have an expensive coach. A cheaper one will make you have less expenses and, since the salary is exponential, your balance is supposed to turn into a positive one at any point

No you're wrong. The low prices happen for years for youngs, even now, the market is on fire and juniors are still low, despite less and less Y.S; its about quality (skills) not quantity. The only way to make this f* poor skilled payers rising in profit is NO MORE players on the market (and i mean no youngs + no more olds) : but that's nonsense ^^

You are (almost) wrong about coaches too. MOST of my income (that save my total benefice) is made by ONLY 3-4 players, i know that 's happen for most of us. If this youngs was trained by a lower level coach, the sellings were lower too. So we can choose less expense (lower coach) but less income (less skills for youngs in the end) or the inverse : that's almost the same deal... until we catch 3-4 lucky toss.

Maybe the problem is inflation? It seems there is more and more money every season, and users may feel they can afford already trained players rather than start from the bottom, making the demand displace from the youngsters to older people
2020-04-30 21:54:56
Or we make 15y olds introduction so they would allready be better at younger age.
2020-04-30 23:26:23
is it better if everyone can breed a barbez and after 3 ahren full optimal training loses 10 million €?
2020-04-30 23:32:54
Thing is IF training would be harder, youngsters needs to be better in general. There is spoken about having superstar players to be even harder to get than it is now, but also that 20y old players usually are useless...
So make them 1 year younger! Let them potentially start at 15y and end youth squad at at most 19y of age...
