Subject: [GD] National Teams competitions

I like this idea:

Season 1: World Cup Qualifiers
Season 2: World Cup
Season 3: Continental Cups Qualifiers
Season 4: Continental Cup

Continental cups in other continents than Europe are not so attractive to take away two seasons from the World cup and its qualification

worth considering but with 14 weeks we may some how fit in 2 or 3 seasons so lets see what calendar we will have

I have a vague idea and I would like to know the feedback before i decide to work on it more thoroughly.

Sorry for late response, i just missed that thread in last days.
Globaly i think, we need a WC with best possible teams, handicup for other continents is not good in that condition. In best option we should look for solution that will be capable to work for the future too, there are still some countries to be added to sokker, and also strenght of each nations is changing - global eliminations system is most democratic in that way.

But for sure i like the idea of some continental approach, my only concern is, that for now we (DEVs) have no idea how to introduce it and find space for it.

In real life we have one big tournament in every two seasons, WC and continental cups. It's not a bad idea, but in sokker it would mean, that we will have WC just once a year. And here is my question - is it bad, or rather good? there will be much more time needed to wait for that kind of competition, but from the other hand... it will be much more prestigious. And some great tournaments will be still played in every two seasons, just in other two - there will be continental cups, so more awards to get for NT coaches.

I'm not a big NT fan, i was NT coach few times in my old, old career, from my personal perspective it would be quite interesting to play like that. But thats definitly a part of game that we need mostly your advice.

Other interesting idea i read somwhere here was about NT league system (different division levels, promotions/relegations maybe). And it could be somehow combined with WC qualifications? but it's just a thought.

I hear also some arguments about giving small countries a chance to qualify - what about some play offs system for i dont know - last 8 places in world cup? it would give another 8 countries a chance to some "final" battle to join WC. (like 24 teams gets there directly, and 16 teams joins play offs).

As i said, no idea about it, happy to hear any comments, contr-proposals or completly new ideas.

People already organize Mini World cup, U27 European Championship, African Cup, Asian Cup,.. But I am not sure what happens with those tournaments if you shorten the season, because they all used the last weeks of the season

there are continents that do not need qualifiers, by number of countries.

continental cups can be made in the same season as the wc.

I think this is the best thing to be honest. Make it so NT coaches can create leagues/tournaments, with a couple of set parameters and let the NT coaches imagination decide what to do.

Would probably be easier to develop, and it then depending on when the tournament was created, it would automatically place restrictions based on how much of the season is left.

This is what happens in another management game I play (for friendly leagues of our own teams).

" there are still some countries to be added to sokker" - we can talk about this again when we talk about what the week of sokker looks like, but please don't add countries if your changes are going to disadvantage small countries (which is the current direction it looks like it is going).

It will create more unhappy people, be more countries that aren't being involved in the news, and therefore don't have a vote on important sokker issues, and in general, just make it a more unsatisfying picture all round.

Note: I do actually want to see more countries in the game, but the International League structure needs to be appropriate otherwise it is a waste to add them. Will just end up with more al-Jazā’ir's who have 1 person vote, who has to play most of their 22 matches against bots, and who will never be able to improve their ranking points because if they ever get any from beating an international team, they will just lose them to the bots (which would be 18 matches minimum if al-Jazā’ir Div 1 was extended to a 12 man league with 2 matches a week) due to the current formula which makes it impossible to gain points if you are around 1700 ahead of your opponent.

Just consider, that many people work together for NT and U21 and not only for their own countries. People from different countries communicate, exchange sokker knowledge etc, thanks to U21 and NT.
(Sokker without U21/NT is like sex without a sex partner!)

No, definitely not. Andorra showed the way to qualify, even if there are just 3 users.

@Raul NT is more valuable thing in sokker you think about them like someone have extra game to enjoy. They are far more than that so do not underestimate them pls. More of users in community enjoy NT games and play only to build NT players and support the NT.
IMO we should stop copy everything from RL at the end this game has its own rules . Strength of nations here do not match as it it is in real life. There is no point to making playoffs the current system already allows small countries to qualify check list of countries on current WC and is exactly because current system is democratic making it on regional level will be artificial way to boost regions outside Europe its just does not make sense .
Also why playing so many games and at the end only one team qualify from the group Playoffs in one game are always give possibility of luckiest team to go through so im against this

Why making WC once in a year here is bad thing. Its just exactly opposite on your idea to speed things in the game ... just does not make sense.
Every good generation of players deserves equal NT games exp etc making it once on 3 even 4 seasons
a lot of great players will miss that opportunity to play on WC

Continental tournaments exist we will adapt them to week length of season just give as tools to handle them properly .

As i said without seeing how many weeks we have and how many countries you will add its waist of time to do calculations lest hope you did not shrink the season too much cause that is my feeling ..

for u21 seasons could be inverted and i suggest new level of NT u25 or u24

well as i expected 13 weeks thats the reason was all about ...

I was warned, by multiple people, and deep down I knew they would push their agenda with false statistics, but I stayed positive, even tried to divert attention away from certain people, but as always, no good deed goes unpunished, and this is no different.

It's like the 3D changes, and layout change, and youth change all over again. Push something noone wanted, and get worse results.

I've never seen people shoot themselves in the foot so much as what I have seen DEVs do in this game.

National teams are totally ignored by devs they are ready to go with compromised formulas just to achieve their target

And just to be clear to all this is not the main reason i want something like version 2 this is just example that a major part of the game can be ignored just to achieve target of less weeks.
