Subject: [idea] What users really want
Cause it's info for training I will edit my post if that is your real problem
I do not care how long they will maintain the fact that they rotate in time in top division affect those that train young people and with trading on market they maintain
So now it's back the daytrading... You're just fishing wherever there's water...
If Sokker really wants to know what users think, they should make a survey with objective questions and answers and set a minimum of responses to make it a valid survey result.
I like polls and I think in some or even many cases it can be used, but there is always the possibility only the most active managers voted, the older players voted, the ones who are not fne with all the chances voted, etc.
A different option is to look at games that are populair and discuss with people knowing the market of (browser) gaming wjat the best strategy is. I'm pretty sure asking the users you get twice the ammount of answers as players.
If I want to know what the best website is for my own bussiness (if I had one), I don't ask random people who know a bit about it, and I don't ask the baker or barber, I ask a professional. That is the one that should be giving advices as first person to make sure updating the game will be a success and not another polished turd. So I hope there is a true professional involved.

I know. The most precise would be to do the two surveys. One I have made and the second with voting between the options of the final calendar. But as I consider the winning option viable and I know you really try to push this one, I just asked people on forum if they are ok with the winning option or if they would like the second survey with choosing between options (13weeks - 12teams and 15weeks - 14 teams). It seems so far that people active on the forum are ok with the winning option. So I won't do the second survey.
There was a frequent argument about the aging of players. The people were worried about players already aging quite fast and they would not want them to age faster because of the emotional attachment to players and more frequent change of team line-up. But when considering this argument I have just realized that you change the aging of players in the past months, so they fall on skills much slower so this partially negates the impact of their concerns.

Some players fall on skills very soon (28-29-30 years). Maybe it could be corrected in order to negates the impact of aging. It would also be more similar to reality. I think this is one of the things that worry the people most.

I even would say it should be corrected:) we need some retirement system, but combined with slower skill decrease, 30-31 its often the age when players reach their top level.
Ah perfect! One of my friends was "worried" about that.
Combined with retirement is a good idea. I'm getting enthusiastic with changes. All more according to reality.

Yep, currently old players are like 50% worse than in the best days of their career. Its even sad to see that great stars ending with V polish divission (i’ve just bought past german NT striker).
I think it should be no such a difference - its better to reduce old player skills less, like 20% (just example), but in some day he should declare retirement with the end of season.

The more I think about it, the more I am ok with the shorter season and I think other users who were initially against might change their minds as well.
Let´s say the players are at their top performance between 24-31 years currently (that's like 128 weeks). Within the 13 weeks seasons, they would be 32 years and 11 weeks old in 128weeks. If players did not lose the skills so fast, they could be at their top similar time.
I like the idea of a player (from a certain age) announcing at the end of the previous season that he would like to play the last season and then retire. This information could be displayed on his profile. It would be nice if this player didn't completely disappear out of the game after that because many people have emotional attachments to their players.
Plus it could mean a bigger supply of usable players on the market/in the game a thus reducing the market prices. I have to write it down in economy topic.

That's so true, it's very unreal. Then, they will be able to have a place in the hall of fame.
It could be great to save some player history after retirement. I only not sure if it will be possible for past history, or just from game update.
Maybe a "school system" in which you can have your retiring player follow a trainer course.
But have this feature for "exclusive" players who were for instance at least 5 seasons with you club before retiring...
The options are limitless, but it could be a great bonus feature... Certainly with the retiring of coaches...

Yep, i saw that idea somewhere, only problem is - there is huge chance, that his coach skills will be draw not so usefull.
That would give the owner an extra happiness if the coach finally fits his needs, like when your magical junior has his skills perfectly placed :)
