Subject: [GD] 2D vs. 3D

2020-05-27 13:31:19
It's true, they must be sure if they can do, obviously. If they don't have that budget it is better to fix the 2d.

Sokker has been under 10,000 users for a long time and most days many users are lost and no new user comes.

I think we're just thinking of ourselves, but we don't look for the growth of the game. But if you invest money you need to make a profit and with the current 2d or 3d for new users sokker will end in a few years, because we won't get new users to continue improving the game.

I totally agree with you .. to make a 3d that is not good that they do not ..
`` I am curious to see the result of the age survey, but I think that the base of sokker is not the children ''
That is the problem of sokker, which is full of old users, that some of them do not seem to want to take the game where it deserves to be.
We all know that once you know the game in its entirety, that is, how the workouts, tactics, roles of each player work etc ... it is difficult for them not to start playing more regularly because it is a game that attracts you a lot. But today we are not giving you the opportunity to start playing.
One of the friends that I invited to play the first thing he did was watch a match, and he didn't even finish watching it, and he wrote me a WhatsApp saying: if the matches are like that I can't imagine what the game will be like inside. .

Τhe filed of view of 2D Together with the tactical builder, they are the most strategic parts of the game, they are the ones that make us feel that the soccer is the best with different football strategy game out there, with a big difference from the others.

We can live, we can adapt with the new Season calendar or the new training system
but the point of view where we can see the matches if it changes is major issue

I have nothing more to add. I will also say that most of them said

With the 2D display as it is, we can see all the field in a good perspective and with that we can read, understand, try to find solutions, make decisions about our tactics, about our, about our choices in relation to the tactics of opponent’s tactics, the behavior of the players in relation With the numbers that they have, and so more

with this perspective we can read the language of the game, what wants to tell us

Strategy games No need effects, super and closed details with no good filed of view but simply things, easier to focus on that can see how the battle unfolds

It's like chess

2D mode simple but best field of view that you can understant the game and all the strategy of the game

but you cant with this Although this is more impressive, you can't understand the power and value of the game

Building game for kids is another game so if they want that they can continue that in the mobile game ...
We want to preserve sokker cause its unique and we love it and devs should realize that it may not bring profit but if the want to convert it to kids game they need to tell us so we can leave and not waist our time

@cranber best post ever

Nobody is saying to remove the 2d because it is the most necessary of sokker, but I do not see any problem in improving the 3d to attract more people

There is rather no decission here (so no poll this time), we need both types of viewers - we just need to understand what kind of value you see in each of them to make sure it will not be lost during our work (according to flash, we need to rewrite viewers for sure).

Exactly, I think we've stayed in the past and we don't want to advance, just being the same users as always.

Improving 3d is to make a game for kids? I think we are going crazy xD.

As a chess player myself, I find this comparison perfect. 3D chessboard and 3D pieces look great, but I will always prefer 2D because of the better perspective and overview over the entire board. The same with Sokker matches

i do not see problem developing 3d as well and i already sated it before only if devs have great expertise in that area but i do not think it will add more value to the game itself
In my company we have VR projects they are wow but they need to bring values to the business else is just nice to have

+1

They want to continue playing with only 1000 users in the game

I don't understand how then we pretend that small countries grow (for example) for more interesting leagues if we don't want to change or even advance anything in the game. It's very paradoxical. I can't understand it and I'm an old school user.

i think they tried it and it did not work that well...

that would be smart....also what would be great is exact moment when all this changes will take place so we can plan our training......

No one negates that.

But we are talking different things here.

Is 2D better for watching the tactics and understanding the game? Yes.

Is 2D pleasing to watch? Hell no.

You can have great graphics and not being a kids game. I still can't fathom how having a better 3D viewer will turn this game into Fortnite.

Assetto Corsa or DiRT Rally 2.0, to put some examples, are amazingly accurate simulators with great graphics.

Both 2D and 3D could be developed to make them completely different:

- 2D into a viewer focused in player position / tactics.

- 3D into something nice to see.

I don't see it as a versus, they are complementary.

I could watch a game in 3D live for fun and have 2D to see how a tactic performed.

Is 2D pleasing to watch? Hell no,
highly disagree on that some dynamics in 2d give you best feeling ever some through passes yes not all is perfect and with some adjustments it could be

and here we talking about time 4 games per week and we have to watch it in 2 different viewers at the end it comes to 2d or 3d so its 2d ....
