Subject: [change] Remove excessive randoms

2020-09-11 16:59:08
There are more parameters and they are different to each player.
no this cannot be true
2020-09-11 17:00:09
unless you talking about like training maxed player on a skill

You don't need to prove anything, but then stop insisting that something exists in the game if you don't feel like backing it up with proof.

It sounds to me like you are reaching. You and I have the same number of players, but I have higher average form, and I have couple players who barely ever play so they are stuck at 0 or 1. How can that be?

I have tried many things and nothing seems to be making an effect on form. I understand that someone would start believing that they can influence the form, because the average form of players who play every week is 12 or something. Random span for form is obviously different for players who play and players who don't, because players who stop playing eventually drop to zero. So, you are affecting the form by letting your players play, but there is nothing more to it. You might think that you have finally found the thing that a player needs to improve his form, but you have increased the chance of form growth just by using him regularly.

Even if there is something, even if you are right, then that has to be so f***ing random, that it doesn't matter. It would be just extra random s**t that this game doesn't need.

Form is pure random indeed.
I did have players that reached superdivine form by playing very less matches and did have players with superdivine form by playing a lot of matches.
For instance i have a goalkeeper now that went form superdivine form to very good form in 1.5 weeks. No special things happened, did play one match a week all the time as he ever did.
Same arcade matches also.
The wole season between unearthley and superdivine and after i reached highest position in my country he dropped.
So maybe you must not win matches to have high form in your team, LOL!

But what i try to tell is, too much random factors will kill the game, things as form should not ruin a manager that brings the best tactics and other managing stuff.
Of course in reality this happens also, but in reality you will have the possibilty yo work on it as a player and as a trainer.
In reality winning with nice teamwork will have positive influence also, but not in Sokker.

One other thing, after playing this game for a long time i found out that some ATTs are more efficient than other ATTs, even if they have the same skills/form.
I am 99,9% sure because from the year 2007 i see this happen every season.
Not a nice random factor also.

Dtox9 to Poey
Form is partially random and partially affected by the x-factor of that player.

Some players need more matches/minutes to up in form, some need the opposite.
Some need a specific change in training, but the problem is... you don't know which one it is.
Some need NT matches, some need promotion, some need a higher or lower league.

The problem is... you never know which one it is until it happens.
Also, WHEN you reached the players x-factor trigger, his form will rise up to the highest form. Once his form drops again below excellent it might be possible he got a new x-factor for you to discover...

In that way, form is 50% random on its own and 100% random in the x-factor...

Poey to Dtox9
Exactly, too much random.

I say it's random, prove me wrong :)

It is not random, I have tested my hypothesis to upgrade form and works 50% of the time

Injuries
Some are very long. I think 15 days should be the maximum and should not affect training.

Form
It is interesting that it exists, but it should influence much less.
The shape should always be between 12 (Worst hypothesis, it already hinders performance, but not drastically) and 18.

In my opinion a small dose of randomness is important, but in both cases there is a large and exaggerated dose.

Hahahaha

Good one. You nailed the placebo :)

Injury bullshit strikes again.

My best player got injured in CC. His injury was 11 days yesterday, so if I survive this round, you might think he will be healthy for the next round (in 13 days).

WRONG! Today, he still has 11 days.

Now, I am sceptical, I don't believe that he will be healthy in 12 days, but I can't stop hoping, and that makes this feature so diabolical. If I make it to the next round, the first thing that I am gonna check is his injury, and if his injury doesn't look good I am gonna be pissed.

I don't care how it works. Is it really random or is the injury reduced in increments smaller than a day (-0.9 or something), is it tied to age? I don't care. This is just a horrible feature.

Hahahaha

I'm sorry guys. Do you know what is like something works just 50% of the time? It is like FLIP A COIN. So, RANDOM!

Plus, even if there was really some way, some path to affect form, don't you think it should be in the rules??? Why, what's the point in exhaustively studying something that should be in the game rules (if it really exists)???

I can't understand some of you... The game is changing, it's the opportunity to fix some stuff and make all the others cleaner and better for everyone... That guy who is playing sokker since the beginning and also the new player who has just created his account.

+1
just not full explanation at least a hint

That is my point...making the game better for everyone, so less random factors as for example form is.
Why should we put a lot of effort in making tactics and managing our team if form will/can ruin everything?

And yes, form ruins a lot, things will be better without this random factor.

Also form...

Check it here: http://www.formulamanager.com/sokker/asistente/estadisticasForma

it's random? just wondering!
2020-09-13 18:51:46
yes its random this does not prove anything

A pure random process of the type form_new = form_old + error (capped at 0 and 18) would show the same tendency towards extreme values as the actual distribution shown in the graph. However values in between would be closer to a uniform distribution. There seems to more players with higher form. The same shape can be seen for the data provided in sokker international forum by ringhiostarr and Imann some months ago.
At least the graph doesn't disagree with the hypothesis, that playing games is the main factor in increasing form - because that is what every manager does anyway. I have never seen a proper analysis of how to increase form. Strategies you read on forum are mostly of the post hoc fallacy type ("My low-form defender played with MID order one time and his form increased afterwards. Therefore using different orders helps to increase form.")
