Subject: [change] Remove excessive randoms
A pure random process of the type form_new = form_old + error (capped at 0 and 18) would show the same tendency towards extreme values as the actual distribution shown in the graph. However values in between would be closer to a uniform distribution. There seems to more players with higher form. The same shape can be seen for the data provided in sokker international forum by ringhiostarr and Imann some months ago.
At least the graph doesn't disagree with the hypothesis, that playing games is the main factor in increasing form - because that is what every manager does anyway. I have never seen a proper analysis of how to increase form. Strategies you read on forum are mostly of the post hoc fallacy type ("My low-form defender played with MID order one time and his form increased afterwards. Therefore using different orders helps to increase form.")

Quite sure that if player rating increase and or team result increase (ranking) the form increase.
One way to verify this is to calculate and compare the average form of the first and last in the leagues.
But anyway, since we have no clue about form in rules, we need to understand how to preserve or increase form... if we can.

No, not correct.
I am the champion of my country and winning and winning and i am near first position in my country also ( ranking).
But the average form drops ( for example my GK dropped from superdivine form to very good form in 1.5 weeks).
Form is pure random.
Form of my team in the last two weeks:
1 Yuluğ Bandırma GK: -9 in form
2 Calogero Giani DEF: new so we can't tell, i like to buy high form :)
3 Davor Vipotnik DEF: -1 in form
4 Darin Gerchanov DEF: 0
5 Moreno Lucini DEF: 0
6 Ireneusz Kuriata DEF: -1
7 Emsal Aşık MID: 0
8 Paulică Mărăşescu MID: -2
9 Waldemar Holak ATT: -4
10 Leonard Derdaś MID: 0
11 Arlindo Silverinha ATT: new so we can't tell, i like to buy high form :)
The average form of my team is not bad even good, but not any + form and many - form.
They all are playing a lot and winning a lot.
Nice to notice, Kuriata was not playing for a long time cause of injury but still divine form without playing, Of course he had his games in arcade, so arcade has influence on form? Random, random and random.

the gap is -4 +4 by week, so a -9 in 1.5 weeks? That s possible ? ! :)
I just notice that pixie (the "last" in you league) got far less average form than you...
In France the 3 first ranking team got an average of 12+ form, thats a very good average form score compare to many teams. Like yours (12.3), you are very lucky :)
Off course that need massive data to see something significant. Evidence is that form is not linear (we can have 12+ form in "low" leagues/ranking like me) but i think "winning" or "loosing" could be a factor in a random -4 +4

There are 2 updates in a week, max -4+4 a time.
Otherwise it must be a bug, because it realy happened.
Edit: today this players have -7 in form in total. So dropped again after winning against second best team and climbing in the ranking.
Of course, as I mentioned before, the average form is still good.
I am not trying to explain anything about that, I am trying to explain that winning is not the same as getting higher form.
Form is random.

Strange also, kuriata is losing form..., he is playing/ winning etc after his injury. Without playing he kept his superdivine form and now it dropped -3.
All just to explain it is not logical and random.

as MatzeG said, there is a strange distribution and we dont see extreme values between teams. If all is random, a dice of 18, the average from should be 9 and much more chaotic (some lucky teams with 15 average from, somes very low). But nevermind, i will not spend time to investigate this :-)
We just need some clue about forms from devs, and or maybe a change that help to manage bad form and improve the game XP. +1

If the form is not random, there should be explanations in rules about which can cause effects.
If form is random... fix it
If form is random... fix it
To me stats should follow a bell curve.
Especially for youth players, you spend so much money in a player with a great talent, only to find out when it pops out of youth school, that the distribution of attributes has no sense.

Another random that I would remove is the quality of juniors. Wild distribution is also ridiculous but I am talking just about the quality, level 10 junior should not be better than a level 12 junior. I don't have a definitive proof of this random but I am pretty sure it exists, I mean, there is random in almost every part of this game, so it wouldn't surprise me.
Look at this player. you can get a player of this quality from a level 10 junior or lower, but this player was a strong 12, you can see it in the picture. Why wouldn't a new user just say, "F*** this game, I'm done," after seeing this crap. I mean, this junior was never supposed to be important to me, but I hate all this randomness.
Rato Kosović, godina: 17, visina: 191 cm
vrijednost: 254 500 KM, plata: 3 150 KM
klub: Ursa Ratnici, nacionalnost: Bosna i Hercegovina
very good forma, tragic taktička disciplina
good [7] izdržljivost good [7] golman
solid [8] brzina poor [3] odbrana
poor [3] tehnika hopeless [1] kreiranje
average [5] dodavanje poor [3] napad

In my case, and despite taking years without getting good juniors, YS is one of the things I like the most about the game. It's similar to FIFA and that is very good because it creates a lot of expectancy, and poors teams can get better juniors than rich teams...in that way the monopoly would be of the rich teams...
I feel the youth development should avoid drops... I rather have a player popping after 2 weeks, and then after 5, then a player who can drop again, even after +20 or even +30 weeks...
Fact is, you NEVER know when it s accurate and when it s a mistake...
Yes, you are right, but it doesn't affect junior’s linear progress, at all.
edit: anyway, accordingly to dev's diary 23,:Analytic level 5 will "accurately measuring pops". :)
