Psychologist and Physiotherapist
Presenting the idea of two new figures for mitigate some issues we can face with a shorter season (like injuries) and to give to the game some realistic tone (maybe in old times football teams only had trainers, but in present time a club has more personel)
The idea is add these 2 figures in the same page of coaches, explaining:
Physiotherapist:
This professional can help a player to recover faster from an injury, some proposals:
-His level could be between solid (8) and unearthly (16)
-Days for recover may be following this format
Solid (8): (1/10) recover 1 day every 9 of injury
Very good (9): (1/9) recover 1 day every 8 of injury
Excellent (10): (1/8) recover 1 day every 7 of injury
Formidable (11): (1/7) recover 1 day every 6 of injury
Outstanding (12): (1/6) recover 1 day every 5 of injury
Incredible (13): (1/5) recover 1 day every 4 of injury
Brilliant (14): (1/4) recover 1 day every 3 of injury
Magical (15): (1/3) recover 1 day every 2 of injury
Unearthly (16): (1/2) recover 1 day every 1 of injury
-Amount of player can manage:
Solid (8) to Excellent (10): 1 player
Formidable (11) to Incredible (13): up to 2 players
Brilliant (14) to Magical (15): up to 3 players
Unearthly (16): up to 4 players
-Wages, may be solids may be arround 5k USD per week, brilliants in range of 15k USD per week, so the idea is every team has possibilies to pay one,
-Form of obtain maybe could be similar to obtain coaches,
-Unearthly could be very rares to pick, like coaches,
-You need to put the player in the list bellow the physioterapist (add a button may be), this could not be automatic, for example, if you get 3 players injured in a week and you have Incredible physiotherapist, you need to decide what 2 you want to recover,
-You could not take out players from the physiotherapist list until they get recover, avoiding switching players
Example:
Samantha Castillo (girls name, why not) age 45
Brilliant (14) Physiotherapist
You have a player with 16 days of injury,
Put the player in the physiotherapist list, her level is Brilliant (14), then: 16*(1/4) = 4, your player will recover in 12 days instead 16 days,
His progression 16,15,14--12,11,10--8,7,6--,4,3,2,--(recover)
Psychologist:
This professional can help a player to improve his form, some proposals:
-His level could be between solid (8) and unearthly (16)
-Amount of player can manage:
Solid (8) to Excellent (10): 1 player
Formidable (11) to Incredible (13): up to 2 players
Brilliant (14) to Magical (15): up to 3 players
Unearthly (16): up to 4 players
-Avoiding designated players form down below his level (lvl of the Psycologist)
-Acting per week (like trainers), you put in list this week, on training day has effect, next week will get new form based in psycologist level,
-Unearthly could be very rares to pick, like coaches,
-You need to put the player in the list bellow the psycologist (add a button may be), for example, if you get 5 players with low form in a week and you have Incredible psycolgist, you need to decide what 2 you want to impove his form, (only cans switch player per week)
- Wages, same way of the physioterapists,
Example:
Karla Duran age 48
Brilliant (14) Psycologist
This week you can ensure at least you 3 best players have at minimun brilliant form, (assuming the form is a lottery between tragic and superdivine every time, nobody is sure how form really works), now the probabilities moves between brillant and superdivine, improving also the posibilities of divine or superdivine.
For example, you can send to psycologist your Goalkeeper, your best Center Back and your best Striker ensuring at least brilliant form for that week,
PD: This is a basic idea, this can be improved of course,
PD2: Sorry my bad English
Regards,

anything that heals injuries is very very wellcome.

who needs injuries and cards by the way ..
I like the way you think.
However, for psychologists and physiotherapists, I don't really see the point in tragic - Superdivine graduations.
I also feel coaches, assistants, doctors,... They should have "other" graduations.
Psychs - Physio's and doctors: Scolar - Graduate - Expert - Master - Each representing 1 extra player + extra advantage
Coaches, Assistants: Novice - Certified - Licensed - Graduate - Expert - Master
- There's no point in Tragic up to Excellent coaches - They're a joke and completely useless!

In this idea i try to use same scale that is used for the coaches actually, but a new level's scale is good point, it does not need to be necessarily the same graduation used for players but need a certain convertion in player parameters for apply it,
For example adding your idea, it could be something like:
Physioterapist:
Scolar (max. 1 player, recover rate (1/8), 1 day every 7 days of injury)
Graduate (max. 2 players, recover rate (1/6), 1 day every 5 days of injury)
Expert (max. 3 players, recover rate (1/4), 1 day every 3 days of injury)
Master (max. 4 players, recover rate (1/2), 1 day every 1 day of injury)
Scolars need to be cheaper, it seems useless for big teams but for a poor team, he gives the possibility to recover a injury of 21 days of the best player of the team in 19 days is something important, his player only lose 2 league games instead 3 if got injuried on sunday, for example,
Psycologist:
Scolar (max. 1 player, avoid form below solid)
Graduate (max. 2 players, avoid form below formidable)
Expert (max. 3 players, avoid form below brilliant)
Master (max. 4 players, avoid form below unearthly)
Scolars also seems useless, but i preffer 1000 times plays with my best player in solid form than tragic form,
Your idea for a new level's scales seems works well, mainly for Physio,

Your opponent maybe?
I once had my best player in lousy form for about a half irl year. I would like to have a voodoo man around to start the recovery on these players who just want pick up the salary and do nothing in return..

I have a different idea about the psychologist (or something that affects the form), I will post it soon.
My opinion is that these things should help us with extreme cases (0 form or 20+ injury).
So, I want physiotherapist to be more useful for serious injuries.
If you want to commit your player to physical therapy, you have 3 choices:
- 1-week treatment (7 days): reduces injury by 8 days (1 day less);
- 2-week treatment (14 days): reduces injury by 17 days (3 days less);
- 3-week treatment (21 days): reduces injury by 27 days (6 days less).
But there should be a rule that the treated player is not on the roster for the duration of the treatment, so you need to pick wisely.
Example:
If your player has a 27-day injury and you commit him to a 3-week treatment (21 days), he is gonna be completely healthy on the 22nd day, but he can't play on the 21st.
If you want him to play on the 21st day, select a 2-week treatment, so he would be able to play on the 21st, with a 4 day injury. (27-17-6=4)
Don't know about the pricing and everything else.

I don't know if this is good for weaker teams. Maybe it would be better to reduce time of injuries because weak teams won't be able to prosper and this benefit rich teams.
I checked once the statistics about football injuries of sports school of Cologne and I made a comparison to stats about injuries in sokker.
I must admit, that Greg did a perfect job! I made the assumption, that he used the same stats for sokker. It seems, that injuries frequency and recovery time are very close to real life.
People, sorry, but you have to accept the situation as it is now, if you wish a realistic sokker game.

well the game is not RL unfortunately and will never will be :(
It's mainly the way they occur in ME that really needs fixing! Running with ball injuries with 20+ days are not realistic at all...
Maybe could be an option also, i guess we need a form to mitigate injury factor (without avoid it, of course), and more now if the season going to be shorter
But in our idea also need to pick wisely because you need choose what tier of physio you can pay without affect your economical balance,
Physio (or medical staff) also is better for long injuties, for 10 days injury Expert physio (1 days every 3 days of injury), only reduce 2 days, no much difference,
The idea is put in context the difference of physios (or medical staff) between team, is not the same an ankle injury in San Francisco (panamenian team) than Real Madrid, obviusly Real Madrid has better staff and technology to recover a player faster, maybe a player needs 3 months to return to the pitch in San Francisco while the same player with the same injury could only needs 2 months to return in Real Madrid.

In my opinion is not a handicap for rich teams, because this not put a difference on the pitch, if a team have better players than other, medical staff don't make any difference,

Yes,
Sometimes the player doesn't run only walking on the pitch and get 24 days of injury, and sadly, you can't do anything for help him to recover at least few days faster, hurts more in youngs players in training ages losing 4 weeks,

That is absolutely true.
Also if red cards are more connected to the injuries. Somebody "murders" you player and referee does nothing.

I don't think that we need to have a special staff member for this.
We can have a universal facility for all managers. We can have "Facilities" page, and have "Physical therapy" and "Counseling" there.
If we need to constantly pay for a staff member, that puts weak teams at disadvantage, weak teams would have troubles with the cost. This is a game where everyone should have a good chance, I don't want there to be a "Real Madrid" in this game. If a manager of a weak team has a good trainee who gets injured, he should have the ability to pay for a good treatment (one time payment), not to use the crappy physiotherapist that he has.
So, to recap, no recruitment, no staff member, just a facility with various options. At least I think this would be a better approach.
