Subject: Second Team - bound to motherclub
This is just an alternative proposal to make everybody happy, especially you juytt !!!!
I just up this good old idea.
Since we loose users and active teams, and "small" countries/communities sokker dying, a second team by users could help to increase active teams and competition without waiting Sokker growing one day.
Additionally, users we be able to test and plan 2 type of strategies to manage their team, and "power users" got enough competition a week ^^
- 2d team must be optional, if a user want it.
- 2d team is a complete separate team from the fist (separate finances, stadium, players...) only same user features ( sk-mail, forum...)
- 2d team must not transfer anything in its 1st, and reverse.
- Could be a "plus" feature only

This is very tricky offer, which might make this game more closed than ever. Imagine users like yourself playing in small country. After 5 seasons noone would ever be able to compete with you, this might even make less new users join the game.

isn't it like that in hattrick? wich kind of experiences did they make with this second team feature? I still play there, but don't read their forums, so I really don't know. Experience for users in small countries and experience with national teams are the interesting questions.
Didnt play hattrick. But for sure, mechanically, two teams will increase number of active teams. That couldn't hurt the game, right now.
yes, I think it was a good feature for hattrick, after they also lost a lot of managers. But I don't know how the "original" users of small countries reacted. And I think they introduced a new Plus level with that feature, so that you have to pay more for plus with second team than without.
I also think its not time for that.
But would be nice to have 2nd team, maybe in a way that you can take ownership of team in "small country" and there for example you have limited founds, limited transfers, different income etc.
And to be also limited number of teams, so you get kind of lottery to get ownership or you are ranked in some way and then you can take over a club if you submitted application

The question is how much devs will invest in this game.... for sure we could get 50-100k users with enough marketing, even more.... the question is just if it is profitable in the length to keep a browser up with marketing...... manager games is still a popular game, but without marketing dollllaaaarrrrssss you get nowhere today, or the last 10 years...
so depending the size of pockets now, and if they will grow by it.... i think 2nd team cant be decided on unless knowing that
however if that promised marketing budget is like merely 5-10k euro..... then we might aswell open 2nd teams now... :P

maybe 50-100k registered users (out of whom 90%+ won't continue to play) in a long period
manager games is still a popular game
based on how most browser manager games are/were doing in previous years I don't think so
not THIS KIND of manager games...those with real players, fast pace, fb etc. connection...yes

This game is better then similar games with lots more users..... cause they invested in marketing..... i dont believe that is too late for sokker
It is too late for this kind of games
a similar, but easier, new, with better graphics game never reach over 1k stable users (it was shut down, they're planning to redo and revive it later this year)
hattrick lost how many users in last 13 years, over 900 000? don't know the current number, but they were well over 1m, then went down to ~200k, but it was years ago
It doesn't matter whether the game is good/better. It has many flaws and deterrents for a casual user, a possible new user. It's a game designed for old people, from previous generation. Those people moved on to casually playing PS4, or stopped playing games due to having jobs, family, being bored etc.

It all depends, as adaca said, to the kind of promotion that's going to be made.
Fact is that a game with lots of users is more attractive to new users.
If those new users enter the game in a country with only 10 or less users, it's more than likely they will quit within the next 3 months (and that's an optimistic period)
