I like that each country has its own real currency.
Hope I am not the only one to think so....

+1, I don't understand how we can discuss this.

[*money=3]100000[/money]

You can use this formula or search the internet.

3 is the country of the currency that we want to put, and the amount is put inside the labels. When it is displayed, each user will see it in the currency of their country.

This could be a good solution, but removing national currencies is insane and unreal.
We all want to know the accounts in our currency, we are used to it and that is how it works in real life. Otherwise we would also have to convert to our currency to get a real idea and in the end it would be worse.

And for new users it might be strange. Imagine when they see in their finances 3000000 sk. I would feel a little bit lazy.

The ideal would be a more accessible currency converter than the current one.

Living in a european country, you may have lived with the change of your domestic money : peseta to euro 20 years ago, excepted if you were born later the change.

Yes, but what need is there to eliminate national currencies? I have never had problems with the deals, so I don't know what's the problem.
I would see it a serious mistake because all of us in the end we will compare with our national currency since it's the currency we use in our daily lives.

The only problem I see is that you end up with an unknown currency, not knowing how much it's worth...
So I guess it would only be a way to use when you start your game with that currency...

Devs could also make those PID links more useful, and make them have a purpose.

Now it's just a simple link, but instead of that, when you post a PID all basic info should be added to the comment (team, value, etc).

If you want to use your imaginary Sokker currency there is no problem - ask devs and maybe they will implement it, but only as an option for people, who really like it.
I don't need it.

+1, I would need to convert the currency anyway to know how much money really I have...

I like that each country has its own real currency.

It is not our own really currency. It has a fixed value compaired to Dollar, Yen, etc. And there is no inflation for each currency, that makes it even more unrealistic. . So it is completely fictional money, only not by name. Besides, many countries aren't in Sokker, In real life for example the currency of Venezuela, Turkey, Sudan, etc is in hyperinflation, but not on Sokker. Euro vs Lira has changed nothing, can still buy the same player for the same ammount of money, Orcourse, this is a game but there is also a real world which is looking at value of currency completely different.

A Euro in Turkish Lira doen't even come close to the real value anymore when the currency was introduced in Sokker. In reality I could almost buy 2 players for the same amount of Euro's from a Turkish manager as I could before the hyperinflation a few years ago.

Introducing one Sokker skillpoint value, instead of the useless and meaningless value in money, so all over the world it makes sence, everyone will the talking about the same everywhere the Sokker.

And the same goes for one Sokker currency all over the Sokker world, which won't and will never have anything to do with politics, rl inflations, misplaced nationalistic BS in a fictional game, etc. Only to make it all more clear for all Sokker managers

So again, maybe use the 'value: 2 857 250 €' and divide it by 1000 so it becomes Skillpoints: 2 857, or by 100 so it becomes Skillpoints: 28 573 (NO more value of millions or worse!)

And do wage of players, but also the bidding on TL in Rekkos, or Rekk, or Soval (or whatever fictional currency)

So instead of 'wage: 12 975 €' it could become:

currency Rekkos or Rekk
wage: 12 975 Я
wage: 12 975 Ꞧ

currency Soval
wage: 12 975 Ƨ

or any other letter S or s like:

(not the dollar, this S has 2 vertical stripes)

EDIT:
Just some other names for currency (if it is not already used in rl):
Pecos
Num
Valom
Dig
Salis

And a list of many letters/symbols of which one can be used for a currency symbol:

I think the same as Damien2a, I don't like the idea.

The symbol is taken from rl, the name is taken from rl, the value is completely fictional.

£ 3M = 5 M € in sokker. The £ is not that strong anymore, it's closer to 1=1.

Imagine negotiations with European players, one has to know the currency exchange rate in sokker and ignore the rl rate.

So, it's all fictional, 100%.
