Subject: [IDEA] Change all currencies to 1 Sokker currency
The symbol is taken from rl, the name is taken from rl, the value is completely fictional.
£ 3M = 5 M € in sokker. The £ is not that strong anymore, it's closer to 1=1.
Imagine negotiations with European players, one has to know the currency exchange rate in sokker and ignore the rl rate.
So, it's all fictional, 100%.

Yep, the only time in Sokker money has a real world value is when buying Plus ;)
And when you could buy a Sokker shirt, but don't think that exsists anymore. Could have made some extra money, which is more difficult now with the new EU tax starting at 1-7-2021
Something like this:
Soccer shirts for countries (LINK)
But without the county at the back, and at the side instead of country name it could be Sokker, org, just an example. Still your own country flag, but Sokker.org text. Something modern people would wear, and not to expansive. Unfortunately, 21% extra tax and 4 to 7 euro delivery cost.
Wearing Sokker.org on a shirt is not that bad, when the shirt looks good and modern, It could be as terrible shirt like this shirt! (LINK)
(one simple ring which was 1 euro, now becomes at least 4,10 euro. F#$@. Ofcourse same for shirts)

I like the idea.
It would simplify transfer negotiations.
As an argument, current money and domestic values are bananas.

In games like FIFA or PES there are a few options of currency like US Dollar, Yen or euro. Why can't we do that? Adding a few currencies and make people choose. It's actually pretty confusing to see the different currencies in every post.
But that's unavoidable imo...
People from America or Africa or Asia will never use Euro as currency...
What I would like is a smart copy button to place your player with skills and value in automatic currency within a post on forum.
This way the viewer of the post will always see the player in the language that he or she is using in default AND the value will be automatically the same as the viewer's.

The problem of changing value of money in real life will still be a problem in Sokker. There is not real money in Sokker, by acting as if it is, inflation and deflation in real life makes it look strange over time, as I wrote in my example in another post about Turkey (I could have used many other countries).

The problem why you cannot change the currency is because the value numbers in the different currencies are too big to change into 1 general currency without people going berserk if they see their value number going down and the currency changing into something unknown.
Nobody is going to know how much a player is worth anymore...
Nobody is going to know how much a player is worth anymore...
They are worth as much as someone wants to pay for a player. The value players have is more confusing as it is a good and helpfull adition. The only reason they have a value is so they have a wage. But wage can also be linked to skill points.
Because he is this good [skill points], his wage is ...
For me this makes more sense as 'the value is not what someone wants to pay for the player, or pays way more for the player, but the value is used to determine the wage, while wage has everything to do with skills'.

I'm not talking about ''that value'' but his actual value...

I didnt get you point sorry.
Can you explain with an example?
So... lets say this player Bonaventure Michels, in $ his values is 10.49M, in euros is about 3.28M, so what happens if the game leave it all in $ or in euros but just renamed to sk currency?

Well... For the teams who are used to the currency with the same value as the new valuta, there's no problem.
But for ALL other teams, there is...
Not all teams with a different currency know how much the difference is between both currencies. How do they know how much money they have, and how much they are paying if they want to buy a player...?
Let's say Bonaventure...
Bonaventure Michels
, age 25
value: 3 279 250 €
wage: 45 700 €
formidable form
height: 177 cm, weight: 73.1 kg,
BMI: 23.33
If the new currency has the same valuta as the Euro, for me there is no problem.
But what about Asian people who uses a completely different currency?
F.e.... India...They use Rs.
I have no clue how much Rs. you need to have 1 Euro...
How would they?
Are you going to make them use an unknown currency and make them calculate outside Sokker? It's nothing if not confusing...

well, That can be easily done. Just check what is the most common currency, then provide a period of time about 1 or 2 seasons in settings so you can change sk currency or local currency. Anyway this works as comparisson, usually u see players in your team, so can get used to it very fast
Same as the changes that are being applied, there is too much redundancy, you can see same info in different tabs (for example bids in transfer tab and office), but you get used to it, start using more and more the new system.
I am sure people with experience will have much better options for adaptation period, but I really dont see a problem there, just adapt. If game is changing a lot, currency would be the minor change

Still... It's an unnecessary change that makes a perfect functioning system complex again. You speak about adaptation, but I'm not sure people will prefer Polish Zloty as a standard currency. Anyways... I'm not in favour of a general selfmade currency... It's very good as it is imo.
I think it would be enough with an "export to forum" button next to each player and new tags to display each skill name and level in the user language like the money tag already does
Not Zloty as std currency. But his actual value and then named to sk currency. But ok, this is that kind of things that each one has preferences :P
