Subject: [idea] Reset money every season

Maybe it's a crazy idea, but I always thought that these kind of manager games would be better if savings wouldn't be allowed. This is how it would work:
Every season, each club will have a budget provided by the sporsors, like now, but the remaining money at the end of the season will be pulled out by the investors
You will still be able to buy players and sell them after the new season, but the quantity and quality of players you own will reduce the budget received. So, in the long run, accumulating too many players will be a bad strategy
Also, since having a good amount of players will help you to reduce the effect of injuries and red cards, having too few players also won't be a good idea
Success will depend more on club results, since this would be the only way to increase the sponsors budget for the following seasons
Everything will be more funny. Except maybe for those who like to spend the whole day in the market. But even that people will still be able to enjoy it

Sokker should have more servers (games). I like the idea but is hard to tell if it would be better than what we have now.
About the idea. As I said, I like it. Losing money could be explained by investors (owners) pulling out the profits. Maybe even have a mechanism where managers get fired :D
In a system like that it would be easier to put more emphasis on wages. I would be interested in a game where you are just a manager, not the owner.
Raul said that they want managers to fight for every position. I guess that they will implement something to make it hard to accumulate money in lower divisions. I can't wait to see that.

bro, what a nice idea.
Still dont imagine exactly how it would work, but lets say paying back 10% of your saving ...... or 5% during the last 3 weeks prior starting the new season. This will also encourage to move the market in the second hlaf of the season, and as you said, more fun andmore competitive. This could complement the devs idea of "expectation of the match" also including the savings....

Yes, that's a better explanation :)
Yes, that's a better explanation :)
+1 Let's try a server with money reset
And keep this server for trading gamers :-) I vote for a split! :-)

I rather have the money on the bank to have a ceiling after a period of time.
Let's say, you have 20M on the bank. If you don't invest that money into your team, the sponsors and supporters will revolt and money will stop flowing towards your account.
I would say 5M ceiling which you can have at all times...
All money above 5M (or 10M - just a fixed amount for all managers...) must be invested into your team...
Better stadium, better youth, better coaches, stronger players,...
But it should be harder to please the supporters and sponsors! This way, farming without caring for the sportive site of the club will be impossible.
Maybe also a fixed season sign-in pass which your team needs to pay in order to be allowed within the league. Not being able to pay will result in degradation of the club, moving straight towards to lowest division, which will be the only division where no sign-in pass will be required.
BUT! in the lowest division... sponsor deals should not be assigned. lowest division = NO sponsor income + low revenue income.
New teams should always join in the lowest division BUT with a starting funds of 5M.
About the sign in pass...
Say, your country has 4 divisions...
division 4 = new teams division = no sponsors and no sign-in fee
division 3 = sponsor deal between 100k and 150k each week and 100k sign-in fee once at the start of each season
division 2 = sponsor deal between 250k and 350k each week and 500k sign-in fee once at the start of each season
division 1 = sponsor deal between 500k and 750k each week and 2M sign-in fee once at the start of each season
Imo, 4 divisions is the minimum a country should have.
Small countries should be merged up to Unified State with a minimum of 150 users, so 4 divisions can be confirmed.
Once 2 countries within the Unified State reach both 150 users, they must be split up.
And finally, teams who don't invest a minimum of 25% of their profit must pay a 25% money fine to their sponsors.
Off course, the game needs to keep you informed when these minimum expenses are reached.
Therefor you can invest in an accountant who keeps your money status up-to-date and who inform you about urgent money bussiness.
I had some ideas on the fly after reading this thread. I thought...maybe it's worth sharing them :-)

interesting and innovative. If devs want to focus on motivating managers to focus on results rather than just training players in low divisions, I think this could be the way. Because otherwise it will be always more profitable to just focus on training and give up on results, because you will always make more money by training young players
That's why I thought about it and came up with this concept.
I always felt I'm at a disadvantage for trying to achieve sportive goals in comparison with farm teams who just train players and sit on their money...
And again... if the new changes will be introduced, I will be at a disadvantage against farming teams, cause they have the funds to instantly inject their money for the best trainers, youth academy features, stadium requirements and who knows what else it will be. Teams who use their money to be competitive now will have a much harder time climbing up the ladder tomorrow.

Rare occasion where all are agreeing to an idea(even though many of the details are still murky) :P

If someone wants to save money for some seasons and then spend it on the market to qualify at a better division?
Also if someone has for example 3-4 millions to pay players with high salaries to survive a division that would be a disaster for him if the club must give the money back.

Not at all... if you use the money on salaries...you use it on the club.
Only fast gained money through transfers will cause problems if it's not used back...

That is an interesting consideration. In the first phase when the new Sokkerdevs were introduced to us, we debated a bit about the economic aspects at that time. There was no concrete result at that time.
I proposed the following at that time:
If the assets of a team exceed a certain amount X, the association has to pay a penalty of 2.5% of its own assets after each financial update. On the one hand, this shows that there is no point in having more than 312 500 000 $ at one's disposal, and on the other hand, this regulation ensures more balanced teams.
The penalty ends when the assets are below a certain amount X again.
Amount X = Apparently 125 000 000 $ was much too high and this proposal was not accepted by most people at the time.
This can also be combined with sponsorship income. If sponsors and fans realise that the club has a lot of money after all, then the sponsors see no reason to continue sponsoring money and the fans are disappointed with the club's behaviour because the club does not do everything to bring in the best players with this money. As a result, the club would get lower sponsorship income and would welcome fewer spectators at a home match (or the fans would be less willing to pay higher admission tickets).
The whole thing would better regulate inflation and bring some economic stability into this game.

I don't like that proposal
I have no luck with young players in my youth school, and I'm clearly not good at signing and developing young talent lol
So resetting money every season just kills the game for me

Why should i use it on salaries? If i can wait 2-3 seasons make some sales and then buy some better players my team is going to be much stronger. For me this the difference between gambling and lose it all (reseting money) and investment.
The first time i played the game in 2007 i didn't saved money and i had short-term results. Now doing the exact opposite my team is growing pretty well.
