Subject: [idea] trading periods

juytt to All
Currently we can trade at any time, which offers flexibility but it affects many aspects of the game and competitiveness:

- teams make more money during a season by trading than by playing the competition.
- teams adjust the quality (up or down) of their team and salary according to the results during the season which affects the competition for all opponents during the season.
- substitutes should be necessary in a full squad (like any real football club ^^) but with day trading it is enough to buy a player on demand when needed in case of injuries or bad form.

For this reason I propose two transfer periods only:
- at the beginning of the season (weeks 0 to 2)
- mid-season (weeks 7 to 8)

During this period there will be no transfer limits and (eventually) no more taxes.
The only exception is that juniors from the training center could be sold during the whole season.

Some exceptions should be need when we loose the flexibility of trading on demand during a season. Let me know…. particularly I think of :

- new teams that arrives during the season must be able to receive better players than they do now, otherwise the gameplay is really poor. @ stefanos17 Suggest that new teams can trade during the first season without limits.
- a full squad of 22 players ( key players, substitutes, future key players) should help to manage a team during a whole season without trading. Sokker should allow to train 22 players at 100% so we don’t have to trade untrained players regularly.
- @ stefanos17 suggests putting a transfer limit (1-2 players) per week outside transfer periods

The game would be too boring.... there is too little to do, when you have the timd.. also if real life is busy during transfer period,....

Also you would have to sell players with a lot of extra trainings maybe

It would be fun if there was a tax free period, let's say, week 13 (new system). You can still sell at any time in the season, but there would be a period of high market activity because people wouldn't lose those 5%. 5% would still be charged from the initial price, so this doesn't turn into something stupid.

This might be an issue for the website, though, because of higher activity, but as I've said it in the past, this game needs events, and promote existing ones.

it’s not because that’s boring we should be happy with a trading game.

It’s also a paradox, it could take time to improve tactics and use players skills for each positions vs opponents each weeks, but what’s matter the most each weeks (for growing) are trading and training choices. When challenging is not a priority for growing, yes trading is the only thing to do ^^

Well at max you have to wait for 7 weeks of extra training before trading, not a big deal to plan for a good manager. But I assume that users who are focus on a trading game really needs the current day trading system to optimize the money back.

What if your are busy during a cup or an important challenge? What if you are busy to follow the daily opportunities in market each days ^^ ? Not sure that the ‘best’ traders are the most irl busy users.

Also 2 periods times, that’s not a big deal. If you are really busy you can wait 7 weeks again for the next trading session.

Maybe they could limit the number of weekly transfers (like buying/selling one or two players per week). The last and the first week in the season they could remove the limit so everybody can change/reorganize thier teams. This rule should exclude new players/teams in their first season.

Also, i saw some teams which have like 70 or 80 players in their team, so there should be some limit too (max 30 players).

Add your proposals to my first post.

Max player limit in a squad is another topic in my opinion. But if teams want to pay 100 players wages, well, good to them.

yes for to block the teams during the season, with a transfer window from week 14 to the end of week 1 or 2( or week 12 to 2 in new calendar)
It would be 4-5 weeks to prepare your team, or improve it for the play-offs.
The management of their team is still a key point of the game normally.. except that trading destroys that.

Max 22 players - but 50% training. the old age market must remain active.

+ you create U20 team.. for player to 18-19-20y and training at 100% ( individual training) to prepare young to play in A. ( at the begining sub in B, he play little minutes to the old player in championship, as IRL) ( + 1 competition and more training for manager, not boring)
+ reverse the system center, the players would all come out at 18y at the start of the season to play in U20 3 seasons or sell ( no problem transfers)

One more good side of this rule is that new players will be able to buy much better players for training. Now we can see clubs stacking 25-30 young players on one side and on the other side there are new clubs with 250k € which can not compete with the older/richer clubs. They are forced to buy scrappy players and train them for a longer period to make some money.. Probably, this is one of the biggest reasons why new players give up in playing this game.
