Subject: [GD] Injuries

2025-11-08 01:22:06
And today, another key player was injured during training on Friday (that's a total of four players since the day before yesterday, including two goalkeepers from last Wednesday's game). If these aren't just random SOKKER coincidences, then my team has been suffering from random injuries for almost three whole seasons in a row (when this season is over). Of course, teams that are not affected will not question this injury system as long as it does not affect them, but this absurd situation has simply become unbearable.

It's strange that this unbroken streak seems to only affect the same “unlucky teams,” even though injuries and downtime in SOKKER should really be almost entirely a matter of random probability!
Apparently, the “SOKKER random generator” only loves certain teams, which it likes to stick with, or was it perhaps the work of a 'lucky god' who brought this misfortune upon my club? hehehehe.........

We can only hope that this unrealistic injury system will be fixed as soon as possible!

No offense :)

its so stupid game they can implement hundred injuries per game every game sure way to make people stop

If any players get injured in a friendly match, the only person's fault is you.

I have currently too many trainees. And week by week I wait for injuries, that would make my decision easier which player will not receive advanced training.
But nothing happens ...

As soon as you're down to 10 trainees again, the injuries will come.

Just how it goes

Friendly reminder:
-------------------------------------------------

"we can setup minutes of play but how we avoid injured(using normal tactic)?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

- Probability of injury is higher on pitches with weak condition and lower on good or better conditioned pitches (better than 50%)

Solution: Get Angel grass
-----------------------
- Added possibility of injury while dribbling, but, in exchange, lowered probability of other injuries

Solution: Create tactics with direct passes (no dribbling, no ball carrying) After my tests, this reduces the probability of injury to 1/3

yeah, this is why every Cup teams like ours bitch about the fact that the weaker teams host cup games. So we're stuck playing 3-4 games on trash pitches each and every season, unless we just choose to tank the first match and the massive fan hit that comes with that choice.

Been a complaint since I last played in 2010.

If your oponents pitch is in bad condition, make a tactic with less sprints. less moves.

The sokker pitch size doesn't change.

Yes you can stay narrow in formation and compact in height but it's putting lipstick on a pig.

Better solution would just give all teams angel grass by default. Either permanently or for cup matches

1.
ptch size does change!

2.
"pitch size"?? - I spoke about pitch condition...
Btw, pitch size can also impact frequency of injuries. Big sized pitch = longer sprints = higher potential of injuries

3.
"narrow in formation and compact in height"
This is something different. I spoke about tactic with less moves
Less moves = no movement on tactic editor, players stay on same place, even if you move the ball = so they move only on the match if they ae the closest player to the ball

Too romantic for me ;)
It seems to me that they simply roll dice to determine if there's an injury; if so, they roll the dice again to select the victim, and then again for the duration.

dumbheads add more games per week and keep 28 days injuries

--- Moving my discussion to this main topic regarding injury necessary reform

Now everyone will play International Cup - one more official game every week. I know it already existed, but it didn't impact much teams.

So, now I pop the question: considering a simple injury (13-15 days), a player missed 2 games in a week (worst case when there was one league game per week). Starting from next season the same injury will cause a player to miss 4 games. Maybe 4 official games.

I am not saying serious injuries cannot exist, but their rate should be reviewed maybe? I simple injury in the past now can make twice damage in an ideal line-up.

Yes, but you also have 8 matches more for the league only so 1 injury has the same or even less impact on the entire season. Also, we now have 5 possible subs and 8 places to fill with subs. We just need to adapt and have more players ready on the bench. If you have a squad of 22 players, one injury is easy to counter. If you have 4 injuries then it's more challenging, but on the other hand, you can always buy new players to fill the gaps. The matches in which one team has 3 or more injuries are a rarity. The only thing I would do is to set a max of 2 injuries per team, per match. And obviously, the stacking bug in which one player has multiple injuries and the days stack should be removed. This is a priority in which the devs need to work on regarding bug fixing. They know the bug for years now and still ignored it.
