Subject: [GD] Injuries
On this particular topic I think majority of users wouldn't disagree to reduce injuries.
Off course, because it will improve their team's general performances.
It's the same as taking a poll, asking about raising chances for better youth. Everything that will affect a manager's team positively will be seen as an improvement.
However, the injuries are a way for giving you things to solve, to manage, which, to be honest, is the entire purpose of this game. You're not supposed to play a lineair game, but a game which makes you take decisions to overcome problems by adjusting things, not by expecting things to be a certainty by leavng everything as it is.
I understand that several managers are annoyed by the injuries, but they are not limited to handle them, or to set the same players to play in all the different matches.
My cup match friday, I conceded 2 red cards, 2 yellow cards and an injury (slight injury), and still I won the match. But I was lucky and now I'm going to adapt and buy myself a couple more players to fill the gaps. It's a choice... it's always a choice... But sometimes you're forced to make them and sometimes you're given the opportunity to make them. I'm just saying you can keep on complaining about it, or handle them. I prefer to do the latter, since complaining about it isn't going to solve the problem, right?

I am still playing, right, so obviously handling my team.
I am not speaking so narrow, just from perspective of my team but in general and with facts, I can do exact math but it is not needed, much more games per week should automatically decrease injuries, simple as that.
Managing is not just - I need to replace injured player, there is a lot of other things you need to handle - as you stated cards, did you add clause for that, tactics etc.
It is just that simple thing that often and long injuries are annoying and decrease your happiness.
(Speaking of annoying, I know that numbers in Sokker even if shown as integer are actually decimal but when u have 2 players 7 day injury and 1 is slightly and will receive training and other not seems a bit unfair)
I would never like that my opponent have injury so "he need to manage a team" but to play mano-a-mano :)

Unfortunately the owners don't understand that this game should be more fun / less annoying to keep more users. They think it should be more demanding and in their minds injuries are demanding.
Obviously they could lower the number/duration of injuries and still make the game more demanding. Easiest way would be to introduced an additional factor of Fatigue which would work similarly to form and depend on number of matches played. For example if player plays 180minutes/week his fatigue is stable, if he plays less he recovers, if he plays more he gets more fatigue = he plays worse in next games.
Easy solution, but who cares, it's easier to keep the injuries and user frustration

nice idea. The extend of fatigue depending on minutes played could be liked to stamina as well, which would upgrade this skill for fresh juniors.
e.g with max stamina, playes can recover fatigue from playing 180 min official minutes, with tragic stamina only snall recover e.g. from 25 min official. Friendly minutes give less fatigue (as they also give less training % per min played)
The higher the fatigue level, the higher the risk of injury. And with 0 fatigue, reduce to minimum or even make injuries not happen.
I would not link fatigue to the players performance, as it would involve chnages in ME.

with the way they think and act this will lead to higher overall injury risk for all players, 100% fresh / 0% fatigue will have same risk as now and lower will have higher chance than now. before giving such ideas to them, remember that they are able to totally screw up every good idea;)
I don't think fatigue impacting performance would involve changes in ME, it probably could be just linked with form [two factors acting as one (current form) with fatigue being a 33.3% factor and form 66.7% factor or something like that]

"Unfortunately the owners don't understand that this game should be more fun / less annoying to keep more users. "
Come on!!!
Unfortunately you borkos and some few others don't understand that this game keeps his users almost for 20 years, because it`s not an easy one, like most other soccer simulations, which keep their users only for some weeks or months.
If you wish no injuries, no consequences for wrong decisions, no risk factors, and everything under your control, there are plenty of games like that. Everthing works on these games as expected, you will win everything and after some weeks or months you will loose your interest. Not?
I agree with fatigue factor and injuries.
Fatigue factor instead of injuries is definitely wrong.

This game once had over 80 thousand users, now it realistically has 8 thousand and many of them are inactive and frustrated. I really doubt that injuries make people stay in the game, while I've seen many people sell out and go inactive / leave the game after injuries or stupid results. I also wouldn't say that this is necessarily a hard game because it's very schematic and easy to "crack". But that's not important here.
I didn't suggest to CANCEL injuries and substitute them with fatigue. What I meant is adapting the injuries length / occurrence to fit the incoming scenario of 4 clubs games every week (IC, NatC, League x2) so there are less injuries and for shorter time periods. Young player getting injured for 30 days and missing 4/5 out of 13 trainings in a season is not a good thing in my opinion, same as top player missing 25% of season / 16 games in a row.
That shortened injury span / amount could be then equalised by addition of fatigue, so that it wouldn't be possible to play same 11 all the time in every game, because that would negatively impact the players performance.
End result would be the same, you wouldn't be able to field same players every game every week because they would start playing like all of them would lose form. But you wouldn't get the injury & lost training frustration, you would simply have to make the decision on how and when to rotate players + you would still need players to do the rotations.

"What I meant is adapting the injuries length / occurrence to fit the incoming scenario of..."
This sounds ok for me. This is an option.

Btw, I never told that " injuries make people stay in the game".
Please never twist again my words - I hate it...

well that's literally what you did before by writing that I "want no injuries, no risk factors" etc. I never wrote anything that would suggest that. I also never said that I want the game to be easy or easier. I only wrote that in my opinion while making changes they don't consider the fact that many people would like the game to be less frustrating / more fun. Increasing number of injuries (more games), increasing impact of injuries (more games / shorter season), adding taxes, limiting fan mood, probably incoming lowered match attendance etc. - those are all negative changes, some of them needed, but not increasing the fun in the game, while in some cases increasing frustration. And I don't think it's a good idea to go in this direction when you can see that lots of people are rather unhappy about the way this game changed in recent years.

I will write it again:

Does it sound like twisted words? If yes, sorry + you are right.
For me, end of discussion here.

I always see the same discussion about injuries, but they are imo only a minor setback you are facing as a manager. However, seeing your top stars die out of the game by chronical tragic form...no problem.
Still, I feel that, while the game has tons of potential and it's only slightly and very slowly changing without a trace of a fulfilling potential which is frustrating, we are still playing a manager game and it still gives us the freedom to play it in different ways, mainly the way we like the most, wether if it's playing for prices, or for training young players or for the NT's...
But the injuries, those are imo not as bad as some people think. The only problem about injuries is the still unresolved stacking bug, which makes players stack multiple slight injuries on top of each other, without the player being brought off, leaving him with a multiple days injury after the match, and not a slight injury. Or even worse, having a bad injury after he conceded multiple slight injuries before, leaving him with 40+ days injury. Imo, only the heaviest injury should count and override the others...
People need to realise that injuries are also a way to prevent players from becoming star players, so in a way they work as intended. And then we need to adapt, like managers, in a way the game was made for.
