Subject: [idea] The Hamsters TAX

DiBaciu to All
Introducing The Hamsters Tax :-)))
A tax on total amount of money in the Bank!
... oh my God people are angry now!
There should be a Tax, in my opinion, affecting (mostly) the "hamsters" that hibernate in the lower divisions gathering absurd amounts of money from Day Trading and doing NOTHING ... just counting every penny like Scrooge, every day!
for example (in fictional currency):
0-100.000.000 Tax FREE
100.000.001 - 200.000.000 2%
200.000.001 - 300.000.000 3%
300.000.001 - 400.000.000 4%
... etc.!
The new Financial Reform doesn't affect the "hamsters" sitting in lower divisions... it only affects competitive, active, teams in the higher division... and when a "hamster" decides to attack (even though hamsters have small little teeth and claws) they will reach the top in 3, 4 seasons without suffering from the new Financial Reform (unlike the teams in the higher divisions that may struggle in the mean time).... just my humble opinion!
Tululu!

well you can build competitive first squad for the first division with less than 100M euro meanwhile you can hoard hundreds of millions playing in the lowest division.
I would tackle this problem by ceiling training efficiency in lower divisions. But that would make people even more mad than this hamster tax idea :))

What would be lower division to take into account ? please

Also, if the team guides its development troughout using only home players. We have some teams in France who had more than 150 M € with only playing with home players since the beginning. It is very brave for them to play like that and would penalize them without any good reason.

It depends... in some countries 3rd division is highly competitive in other countries there are only bots from the 3rd down... it's not easy to implement... but countries like this are usually not the problem.

It's not "for no reason " it's penalizing for the well being and progress of the game! This way the time spent in the game difference will also be slightly reduced.
1. For someone just starting in the game is hard to compete with the old teams who have gathered trillions in the mean time! There should be a "lid" on top of it.... the account I mean!
2. Ritchie Ritch players will not lose their money, they just need to invest that money in the game! By investing they will no longer hibernate!
3. The amounts in the given example are fictional and used to make a point! ... it could start at 20 m euros... no idea... I'm just putting thoughts out there in the hope that the community and the developers might find them useful!
Ciao!

You do understand that that would increase inflation even more and the "not rich" players would be in a even worse position? Just let people to play the game however they want. If it is anyones choice to hoard money for a top team at some point instead of having an average team all the time, they are free to do it.

Exactly! :-)))
I'm a communist! :-)))
This game first came online in 2004. We have managers that were born 2004 and later... how is it their fault that their parents didn't join them up into sokker right after they were born.... :-))) how can they compete?! Do they need to wait for the older managers (older accounts) to die or get bored? How does "sitting on money " help the game? If they anyway don't use that money why would they care if that money is taxed anyway?

On the contrary !
The only way to reduce inflation in the game is thru taxes, ...less money = lower inflation!
2023-04-03 11:30:09
The money that sits on such teams and is not circulating in transfer market has no effect on current inflation.
2023-04-03 11:37:02
At some point it will... they might "hamster" it for a reason... and than the inflation will be even higher (when they start spending it ... Mike Tyson style) !
2023-04-03 11:39:17
It is not guaranteed that such money will stay on accounts forever. Potential of making influence on market in future is big.
Such tax would effect in increasing inflation in short term, but in long term would help. Also preventing from creating another hamsters by keeping money in circuit.
