Subject: [idea] The Hamsters TAX
You are right, for the vast majority of teams it will not make any difference at first, but I think on the long run managers around the whole world could benefit (at least at this stage this is what I think, I could be wrong). If a certain maximum ceiling is set (you can go over it but it gets severely taxed every week so it's not worth it), it could mean that there will also be more equally strong teams around the world to compete in the Champions Cup! Competition in the first 2, 3 Leagues could be stronger and more tactics oriented (team's values closer to eachother). Making players worse is a bad idea... increasing superstar players salaries to 200m/year , like Ronaldo has, would have made more sense (but only after they get transferred, superstars only get absurd high contracts when changing clubs. So a new , poor, club can train a player to superstar level)!
13 seasons in Ekstraklasa
More than I thought the result will be. So he either had the money to reset team a couple times or he found a way to earn enough to do so while staying up which would be rather impressive.

but if there was some budget limit at the bottom wouldn't that help? (though, not sure what to do with users in these leagues already having budget above the limit)
such easy fixes won't work... you can always work around such things, if you can stay in 5th you stay there, if you need to stay in 3rd... you will do so, it will just cost more/season = make people gather resources for longer
so even if there would be some limitations and it would be 2nd league (not 5th, not 3rd) they would trade and train there to gather money, then advance to 1st league, play there, won or not, and when their resources would ran out, then they would really start losing on purpose to go just one league down and start the cycle again?

In general would be favourable to farming teams at beginning. Idea is not bad, long term. When somebody have lot of money now, they can invest it in players and make impact on player prices, short term, but at the end it should make difference between rich and ridiculous rich smaller, and players prices more stable when you don't have option to buy 12 players for 200M and make instant impact on league and market neither.
And making seasonal transfer limit instead? Something like financial fair play. So you can't spend limitless and take your budget completely in red without selling players. It would take in some serious planning effort, and training regular team members itself.
1.) I am for a time limited transfer window
2.) extracting players like you extract coaches (would be fun and could count as "free agent")
3.) 27 maximum squad members
4.) setting a maximum sold and bought number for allowed transfers in the transfer window...
5.) seting up a player mood algorythm in which a player can leave a club , if the player's mood is too low (if the club is relegated two seasons in a row , for example)
6.) setting a hidden age limit for each coach, so that a coach would suddenly retire if his time is up... everery Friday, let's say.

2. is just bad. The rest would hurt weak teams way more than good.
I try to look (try to find), where is the progress (in your ideas), but I do not find it.
Please give ideas to help and progress. Not give ideas to destroy.
You only have ideas to take money from clubs, and gain more problems (for small teams too).
I read all your ideas. You really think, that this will help the small teams?
Where is the help? Where is the progress? What does make the game better?
The rich teams will survive better than the small clubs.
It would be nice, to find good solutions
.

As i said few pages ago, maybe one solution could be :
- Buy a good striker : 10 M € => value of ATT : 2.0 M € (in good form)
- Buy a good GK : 5 M € => value of GK : 3.5 M €
- Buy a good DEF : 3 M € => value of DEF : 2.0 M €
- Buy a good MID : 10 M € => value of MID : 3.0M €
If a team has a lot of money in his bank, as a "Hamster", it should be easy, not to tax when the team got the money, it doesn't affect the game, but when the team buy many players in a short time.
The initial value should be low : 2 M €
When the team decide to buy many players to build a new strong team fast, then the team value added could reach : 30-40 M € for a competitive team. Then, the dev could launch a tax for the big gap in team value every 2 weeks for instance, then the tax should be calculated but how ? I do not know.
Btw, i'm not in favor of taxing teams who managed to make money.

Due to the fact that we are all different we all have different ideas about what "progress" or "better" means!
For me better doesn't mean "easy"! I have NEVER played any games (an I played a lot of games for a lot of hours) with cheats, NONE! I don't like "easy" ! Your main concern is that some of my ideas will make the game harder (but I think it will be fairer and challenging). Since I don't have to worry about every penny in my account anymore, due to the fact that we have at least one home game per week nowadays, I find that the game became "easy"... it lost a bit the stressing factor, I don't like that !
I'm not trying to change the world with my ideas, I'm not like a religion leader that claims that only he, and only his religion, are right and will go to Paradise, all the others will burn in Hell (some people are like that on the sokker forums)! I know that the devs don't really care about what we write... they have their own agenda, but I think that, out of all the crazy things I write, it could be possible that they might pick up 10% of one idea.... and if they do than it might really "help"!
Some people go crazy if their wives cheat on them.... others, happily take their wives to swinger clubs to get gang-banged by others.... who's right? What's better? What's progress and what's regress?

I did not want to attack you. If this understood wrong, so it is my fault. I just wanted to ask questions to improve the game, make the game better, not just ideas for making the game harder.
The fair persons should consider that people may have saved money and worked for 10-15 years to accumulate money (many years with lots of transfers and training).
Some people invest many lifetime and a lot of free time in the game. This should not be unnoticed.
The money was not given for free to the people. Many people have worked for the money for years. I hope to have given you some ideas and suggestions and send my best regards.

I haven't felt offended, I'm not some ballerina type of guy , kein Stress! :-))) I wanted to explain myself a bit so you can understand my way of thinking.
You are absolutely right, people have earned their money! I am trying to raise money myself (not by trading like crazy, it's too stressfull and if you overdoit you will be sick of the game by the time you reach your fortune... at least I would be!) and I know I'm being subjective, being a beginner with empty stomach (pockets) :-)), but it is the way I feel (think) right now and I wanted to put it out there, give a feedback... I never said that this is "the correct and only way"... even though I've bee compared to Hitler, Stalin and Lenin in the earlier comments :-))) ... it's one way of thinking, that's all!
Have a nice day!
PS. This thread got more attention than expected (some people are afraid of losing their wealth others want "communism")... this says something about the matter, I guess...

If you are right, it will be the best idea in the history of Sokker.
When we prove that by encouraging people to spend their money instead of saving it actually reduces inflation, we'll win the Nobel Prize in economics, a highly paid positions in ECB will await us and Sokker will enjoy billions of new players who just want to experience this economic miracle for themselves.

We could just do what the other game I play did. They just said any money over $xxx by the end of the season, will be deleted.
It resulted in people either spending their money on players or trainees, or losing their money. There was a slight temporary increase in the prices of the best players and best youths, with little affect of the mid range players, and now all players have come down to a more acceptable level, and the teams who best manage their finances week to week, rather than just having been around for a decade, are rising to the top.
So that actually worked quite well.
And to get an idea of what that amount was. It was probably equivalent to approximately $40M euro in sokker, and surprised everyone by actually working.
Interestingly, the developer has also stated there is about a 40% membership rate to their equivalent of plus as well. That would equate to approximately $1,000,000 PLN here

People usually don't like CHANGE.
I hated the idea of playing 2 league games a week, ... and now I LOVE IT !! :-)))
I think that sokker is heading in the right direction... but, sadly, slowly ... have faith , pray, don't ask questions and wait! Heaven is promised! :-)))
Cheers!
