probably wouldn't be much of a limit for the functionality because usually it's single injury one wants to heal but could be some kind of addition to the whatever cost and could find some usage sometimes

Why not opting for a solution depending on how serious the injury is, if the player misses 4 weeks then it's like 4 X his salary if 2 weeks then 2 X his salary etc. However if developers want to outflow money then the multiplier can be doubled for example:

Player gets injuried for 3 weeks then to fully recover the player or to bring him back to ''slightly injured'' then a manager has to pay 6 X player salary

If a player gets injured for 2 weeks then 4X salary to bring him back to slightly injured level.

Maybe that's something affordable and reasonable?

1) reduce injury possibility AND injury severeness by half for friendlies!
2) implement doctors with fixed wage (f.e. 50k each week)
3) make sure a doctor can only heal 1 player each weak, max.
4) max 3 doctors for 1 team
5) implement fixed fees for surgery / treatment like this: 25k to reduce 1 day for 1 injured player.

So lets say, you have 2 injured players and 1 slightly injured player
Player 1 (injury of 20 days)
Player 2 (injury of 12 days)
Player 3 (slight injury of 4 days)

Player 1 needs 13 days reducement to heal to slight injury, so 25k x 13 = 325k to heal him up to 7 days
Player 2 needs 5 days reducement to heal to slight injury, so 25k x 5 = 125k to heal him up to 7 days
Player 3 already is slightly injured, so he won't benefit from healing system.

What I would do is to increase injury possibility for slight injured players in official games.
The benefits from this system.
Say, your player injures himself on wednesdays league game, you can pay him to bring him up to 7 days, so he will still receive his training from the minutes played in all games on to his injury and you can play him again in the friday friendly (if not in the cup) to reasure his training for the next week.

Also, implement physiotherapists who reduce injury proneness for players by half
1 team, max 5 physiotherapists.
1 physio can treat up to 3 players
1 physio = 25k wage
1 player treatment = 10k
So IF you decide to get 5 physio and they all treat 3 players you will pay a weekly wage of 75k + 150k for 15 treatment spots = 225k weekly, EXTRA
IF you then decide to have 3 doctors and they all cured a player for a total of 20 days, you pay 50k x3 = 150k on wages + 500k on treatment, EXTRA

I think this is a balanced proposal which is a very good money sink AND bring back happiness to the game.
