Subject: [idea] Youth's School
Currently, the entry age for young players is between 16 and 19, and you have to wait up to 6 months or more in real life to release them.
I propose an entry age of 14 to 16 at the latest, with a one-month stay in the youth academy. This way, they emerge young and, within two or three seasons, can train well, play in the first team, and be competitive.
Furthermore, having a one-month stay at most not only makes it more fun and encourages the opening of the youth academy, but it also puts more players on the market, without having to wait forever and then have a young flop to fire.

It would create A LOT of superstars, won't happen
Even if you get a 14yo 8x tragic he would become a superstar if talented
1 season of training a talent 16yo gives you around 13-15 pops in main skills (not counting stamina) so in 2 seasons (even assuming 14/15yo having same pace of training as 16to) it will give you 26-30 skill pops
imagine if you get this 14yo
0 pace 0 defender
0 technique 0 playmaker
0 passing 0 striker
so worst option possible, at ~start of season age 16 he would look like this:
5 pace 5 defender
5 technique 5 playmaker
5 passing 3 striker
in other words worst possible 14yo would end up better than best 16yo players today. he would have SS MID 25, while best 16yo players week 4 in last 5 seasons had SS MID 22. and we are talking about WORST possible 14yo, if you got a good [7] 14yo, at age 16yo he would look better than current 17yo players
and it's even much worse when you consider strikers. 8x tragic 14yo would end up ~like this as ATT:
7 pace 3 defender
7 technique 3 playmaker
3 passing 7 striker
ss ATT 21, best 16yo ATTs week 4 have SS 16. and again, we are talking about worst possible 14yo.

Thanks for your explanation, I really appreciate it and agree with you.
In fact, based on your reasoning, we would have players ready to be included in the first team, without having to wait until they reach 23 or 24 to do so sooner.
In real football, 16 or 17-year-olds are now playing, but as you say, they won't be able to do so, that's another matter. However, I would enjoy the youth academy more if these changes were made.

We need a youth team reform.
This is a good idea and doesn't create superstars but decent players that can make their debut in the championship without having excessive penalties.

I'm sorry but this would create too many top players. Furthermore, who follow and more or less actively follow the young team, it will be a madness if players will be available for few time.
Looking at how the players grow, I consider the system fair enough balanced.
In my opinion, the young team championship and management should be changed and in some parts totally created.

You don't know what you are talking about.
If you get 14yo, week 5 player with 8x tragic skills and 3.5 talent (so not even that great) then at age 25 he could become 3x superdivine striker or 4x divine winger or 5x unearthly mid.
This idea is absolutely terrible and would destroy the game.

And isn't that great? So you'd have a player you could keep at his peak potential for 6-7 seasons before they decline terribly.
The national teams and the transfer market would benefit from this.
Then it's obvious that the change could be made differently, such as instead of 14 years, raising it to, I don't know, 15, etc...
But regarding the retention of young players in the academy, it's not possible to wait 6-10 months in real life to let him out; that's more urgent.
This is my personal point of view, but I'm open to any proposal, as long as it's listened to and implemented by Sokker's DEV.

First of all, devs won't implement any reform ever.
Second, for me the age issue should simply be a situation where no youth stays in school past 18. Maybe this involves increasing the starting rank cap by one or two levels for late 18 year olds. Not sure.
Additionally, I'd love to see a situation where it wasn't so random, but more weighted random (based on previous success over the past three seasons). People get a great pull every season, or two every three seasons. Then other people get one or zero every five seasons like me - so much so I decided to stop wasting money I don't have on it.
I'd just like to know that I'd actually get a great sellable youth often enough to just tread water on expenses. I've tried the whole early 16 year old thing for this season as well (without having an active youth school) and surprise! Absolute garbage for the 6 weeks I tried each season. I simply cannot catch a break at all and my countryman are like "youth school pays off" and I am constantly like - "Sure, for everyone else"

And you should have more respect for other people's opinions!
Many of us belive youth team needs a change: that's why we need new ideas to work on. You limit yourself to write a lot of "if" without offering constructive suggestions. Maybe you like the game in this way, but it doesn't make you the only one able to use his mind.

No, everyone would get absurdly good players, game would be full of them and it would crash the market. Just like making goalkeeper training too easy crashed goalkeepers market value.
Then it's obvious that the change could be made differently, such as instead of 14 years, raising it to, I don't know, 15, etc...
No, that still destroys the game. Keep in mind that in my example I gave you the evolution of 8x tragic player. Make it slightly better and it's still broken when it comes out at 15.
Decreasing the age under 16 will not happen.
But regarding the retention of young players in the academy, it's not possible to wait 6-10 months in real life to let him out; that's more urgent.
This is a game, not a real life.
Youth school needs logical adjustments, not a game-destroying revolution. Just making more and better youths is not a magical solution that will make youth schools amazing, for a simple economical reason.
Youth school creates a supply of players for training. Availability of the training slots creates a demand for players for training. Even now, the supply of players is much greater than the demand, causing most of the youth players coming out of youth school being worth nothing or close to nothing. Create more youths and you just added more youths that will be worth nothing.
Create better youths and you just changed the skill threshold at which youths are worth nothing. Which might not be a bad thing, but it needs to be done in a way that doesn't increase the number of superstars too much. Examples:
1. If a player comes to YS as 17yo or 18yo then at the exit their skills could be adjusted so the lost age lottery doesn't hurt as much (but still doesn't make them as good as if they were 16yo at the start). Could be like equivalent of 50% of the lost training, maybe 2/3, would need to be balanced by looking at real players. This change wouldn't increase the number of superstars, 16yo entry level would still be the best and wouldn't change.
2. Lower max entry level at the beginning of the season, higher at the end of the season. It's absurd that the entry at the beginning of the season is so much better than later in the season. That change would actually decrease the number of superstars.
3. Adjust the speed of training to the shorter season (16/13 = 1.23 -> ~23% faster) and adjust max weeks in youth school (34 / 1.23 = 27.64 -> change to 27-28 weeks). Currently, unless you get a perfect skill distribution, it is the best to stay in youth school as briefly as it is possible. Regular players got a fair increase in training (50% better general training), youths need an increase too.
4. Make the skill distributions more logical. Not strictly better for all players, just more fair so you can expect the appropriate quality for appropriate exit level. For example now you can 0 or 7 in stamina (and that 7 in stamina would actually be 10 in other skill), but if stamina level was closer related to youth exit level then it would decrease the randomness here. Add some balanced def/mid/att alignment in skills and it might be a much nicer system. I don't suggest to make it a factory of perfectly aligned players, just to make it not possible to produce trash like excellent defender and striker with no pace and technique.

Making skill distribution more logical would be another great idea.
Not much more demoralizing then having your only good pull of the season be 19 and have very good/ excellent defense/striking and poor pace.

1) No, everyone would get absurdly good players, game would be full of them and it would crash the market. Just like making goalkeeper training too easy crashed goalkeepers market value.
- That's also true, I hadn't thought of that. You're right about the market no longer being useful... so this proposal needs to be rephrased...

- Your explanation and example are fine, but I'd prefer to have younger players who I can include in the first team at 18 and be competitive in Serie B/C or even the Premier League.
3) This is a game, not a real life. Youth school needs logical adjustments, not a game-destroying revolution. Just making more and better youths is not a magical solution that will make youth schools amazing, for a simple economical reason.
- Like many others I've talked to, I'm bored waiting months in real life to release a young man who, after spending so much money, is a pain in the ass and I have to fire him. So, better ugly but quick :-)
4) As for your other ideas and explanations, I agree with you. As you see, youth reform is needed:-)

year, fully agree.
and would like to add what was proposed earlier by other users:
6. change the skill cap which is now at excellent. This would create more valuable players exiting at 19/20y and stop wasting skillpoints od unearthly/divine juniors to useless skill, such as GK and stamina
