At the beginning of the season, almost every 16- and 17-year-old who comes out can become a good player. The problem is that increasingly, academies are taking in players mostly at levels 0, 1, 2, or 3, or for a long period of time, which makes them old by the time they come out and no longer suitable.
Changes are needed, but unfortunately, they probably won't happen; at least hopefully the stay period will be reduced according to the new shorter season.
