Subject: [IDEA] More training spots + cap on age on trainees
10 advanced training already fine but maybe it could be 11 for each position or 11+3 or 4 with substitutions advantages can be considered.
But ofcourse it will change game dinamics like so many coach dont focusing to league results and with corner tactics just focusing to train more 16-17 yo players to gain more money and it can be crash game balance between others. 10 already look like balanced. Maybe max 11 could be for each position like.

I also think that farming is inherently bad for the game - not because you can win with it, but because you can't win without it. It's practically impossible to win big (e.g. Ekstraklasa or IC) without spending few boring years doing nothing but accumulating resources.
Unfortunately it is unlikely that this idea will be implemented imo. It does not even receive public support, because people instinctively vote against any form of restriction, even though it would help the vast majority of them.
So maybe its better twist the idea into a bonus system with extra slots for people who train older players. For example:
- For every 3 players over 22yo in Advanced Training = 1 extra training slot
- Or just adding two new age-restricted slots which are exclusively for players over 24yo
Of course, this way we won’t stop farming and it will still be impossible to reach the top without it, but at least it will give little more room to maneuver to those who play in the classic way.

Age restricted training slots is actually a really good idea. I'm thinking about what could be the downside to this and I can't think of any on top of my head.
Farmers would still want to farm on an age restricted slot. Prices would rise for 24/25 yo (in your example). Top teams could train juniors for profit instead of "wasting" a training spot for a top player.
Maybe it wouldn't change much in the end?
With this discussion it will always comes down to two paths:
- you create a system where playing competitively creates a lot of insensitives (money). This means the best managers will always be the best. No chance for new teams to ever catch up
- you create a system where you lose money if you want to win something. No one can stay on top all the time. Everyone has a chance to win something one day
So obviously only the second way can be an option because who would want to play a game they can never win? Not a majority of normal people. There are some maniacs (me included :D) who enjoy everything but playing for trophies though :)

well the obvious one is that it wouldn't be possible to create a team from zero and train it yourself or even to have a team based on same age 24-26yo players, because you would only be able to improve max 6 of them
so such competitive team would need 6 trainable players + 5 first 11 players that are too old to train (since it would make zero sense to have younger/more expensive players that would not improve)
it would only bring complications to competitive teams. saying that they could train 16-18yo players... well what would be the change, because they can already do that if they want? it's just usually pointless at high level :)
it would be a big nuisance for competitive teams, while for farmers probably as you predict... they would simply make money on different age group. And would now have 12 slots for farming instead of 10 :))

In my opinion, I voted no. I like the intention to overcome the hard limit of 10 trained players, but putting another harder limit (6 slots for U21 or something like this) Is not a solution for me.
In my opinion, I like the idea to put more than 10 players into the advanced training, but the balance of the game should be maintained, for instance, you could have to hire one assistant more than three for each trainees exceeding the 10 (i.e. 4 assistant for 11 slots, 5 for 12....) Otherwise, you'll have a malus of the max training to be tuned.
This could be more close to the real case and more intuitive.

Aren't the farmers and what you call competitive teams the same exact teams?
Not really, among those playing at the top some are farmers that might be at the point of peak/playing competitively, some are just playing "normally" without typical low league farming periods
and the point is the make life easier for those teams that don't farm and harder for those who farm (and then go on to create a top team with max resources)

"We know that so called farming, where managers train 10 very young players short term and buy and sell them often, till they gathered a lot of cash before they start being competitive by training a batch of best trainees they can gather or buy a first team, is very effecient, and done by a lot of managers because of it. But it comes with long stretches of non competitive state, and is not really how the game should be played in many's view."
for what its worth (nothing? lol) , I suspect this is a huge reason the game doesn't keep new players. Right behind the overall learning curve of the game.

Not to mention that developers' goal was — their own words — to make the game more dynamic and competitive (two matches per week, shorter season...).
Competitive teams are struggling to maintain their ratings (and/or their capital), while the others are quietly waiting for their turn. Nice catch :-)

Why not only increase 10 slots of main training, maybe 12 and it's okey...
If they really want to link training to results there's only 1 way imo. Have training linked in official matches only and remove friendly training. Next to that, have your board of directors make seasonal expectations and remove age restricted training spots if you don't make your boards expectations. So if your teams needs to play top 5 f.e. and they end up at place 9, the board might limit your training spots for u21 players. If you relegate, they might increase the imitation. Something like that...
As a Counterpart, I would increase rewards for making the board expectations. This Will definitely make playing for results worth much more than training, in the long run...

My point is that I see the idea some complicated, we can have 2 slots more to training and done. All of us are things in circles and I see one thing, there will be more games by week, we need a larger squad and we see the injuries, since beginning the problem had been the injuries. I don't know if I am explaining myself well....
Yes, yes, oh, how true your words are! You really deserve respect for that. These are comments from someone who, in my opinion, has fully mastered SOKKER and the art of camouflage and deception in the game.
I just wanted to say: Thank you very much for your important and valuable contributions. You know why I'm sending you this praise. I want to tell you that I will appreciate and pay even more attention to your great ideas, messages, and actions in the future.
Thank you again for this!

I agree for 12 spots and i dont agree with age restrictions of any kind. Keep it simple.
