The first victory has finally arrived!
Difficult match resolved by our champion Dervas with a first goal scored from more than 20 m and a nice header assisted by Makrodimitris, his performance was good.
Great game from Kokkalis who almost always blocks the actions of their winger but on the other hand still an insufficient game for our striker Sikelianos and also for his substitute Emvalomenos.
In midfield Papaioannou and Kilekoglou take over their opponents but are often imprecise in the attack phase.
Today it was essential to win to move up the rankings in the knowledge that from now until the end you can't make any more mistakes!
Let's hope that our misfortune of always conceding goals on the opponents' first shot will also end!

Victory needed to continue our pursuit of the top positions!
Unfortunately once again we concede a goal on their first shot and in the first half our defenders, inexplicably, very often lose their tackles against their only attacker... absurd really!
In the second half we didn't concede any shots but in attack we wasted some opportunities to increase the result which were important for the goal difference!
Now we have three days of rest because since it is a group of 5 teams, one of the teams alternately rests and we will be still for two rounds in a row!
Have faith, we will return to the positions we are entitled to, as long as Mr. Random decides to be a little kind to us too, given that today we had 6 injured players and two unusable players due to their poor form! :)

Due to the double rest period valid for the first and second half of the season, in the next three matches we will play friendly matches to test some players and some new tactical ideas.
The road will be long and difficult but our only goal remains qualifying for the next world championships!

In the last few weeks we have played three friendly matches due to the break in the qualifying round of the World Championship.
Against Slovensko the usual match that has characterized the entire season, with a subpar performance from the defenders and attackers with a lack of incisiveness in creating goal opportunities.
Against Scotland a well played match and a draw which should have been a deserved victory!
And we arrive at the masterpiece that our boys achieved today, dominating the very strong Poland from start to finish (our opponents made the first shot at the end of the first half)!
I tried a tactic with just one attacker (given the lack of ability to develop from our attackers) by strengthening the midfield and deploying a more careful and lower defence.
Great performance from all the defenders, with the exception of Kokkalis who was too often in difficulty against their winger, with a note of merit for the young goalkeeper Archontidis and the expert Psarros!
In midfield, both the deployment and the victory of individual duels by our players tilted the match in our favor. Very good recovery (in terms of form and injuries) Kanellakis and our champion Makrodimitris who was a constant danger for the opposing defense!
In attack Dervas missed two sensational chances in the first half (beautiful move in the 27th minute) but scored the penalty while Filippidis did even better, scoring two goals and confirming the good impression left in the match against Scotland!
And now we wait for next Saturday to start our adventure in the world qualifiers again in the certainty that by playing like today, in the hope that randomness doesn't turn against us, we can manage to reach the goal of qualifying!

Convincing victory but with some struggles in the first half due to a lack of determination from our players!
In the second half however, after the usual goals from Superbomber Dervas, we spread but wasted too many goal opportunities.
Once again the impact of Filippidis was very positive as he came on to replace the always disappointing Sikelianos and scored a goal and created several scoring opportunities.
Our defense is perfect and the return of Kanellakis has guaranteed greater quality in our midfield.
Next Saturday is a very important match against Malta who today lost undeservedly against the always lucky Philippines.

We play a perfect match against Malta, we win 6-0 and our opponents never shoot on target with a great performance from the whole defence, the attackers and the two champions Kanellakis and Makrodimitris!!
But there is something plotting in the shadows against Greece, in fact at the end of the match the super striker Dervas is sent off and also the other striker Sikelianos, who had shown signs of awakening today, is booked and will therefore miss the decisive match against the very lucky ones Philippines!
What has happened this season is truly absurd: we have lost at least two matches without demerit, we have had three players sent off in official matches and we have suffered an impressive series of injuries and drops in form!!
We will fight until the last minute but we are fighting against an unfair and partial random!

After a run-up which is marked by the absurd defeat against the Philippines with the overwhelming victory against the Philippines we reach the top of the table.
Considering that Uruguay will win the match against Malta we will find ourselves in this final situation:
Greece and Uruguay 16 points
Philippines points 15
In the last match we will meet Uruguay and everything will be in our hands! Only one result to avoid risking anything and that is to win!
Today we reused the tactic with just one striker that had worked so well against Poland and today too, in fact, we dominated the match and developed good plots.
Exceptional match by Filippidis and the champion Kanellakis who scores the safety goal with a textbook action.
Well, finally, Emvalomenos too who came on towards the end of the second half and scored a splendid goal!
The defense was perfect and also in midfield excellent game from Papaioannou, author of two assists, and the returning Spetsiotis!!
Now we just have to wait for next Saturday to try to achieve the objective set at the beginning of the season which has become complicated given the enormous series of injuries and unfortunate episodes that have affected us!

Dear friends, I'll update you on the situation in the standings as Uruguay unexpectedly loses against Malta.
Greece 16
Philippines 15
Uruguay 13
Second place is practically certain but being a group of 5 teams we have to win the last match to avoid any nasty surprises!
