I have started my book about half a year ago. I always wanted to write and it took the right moment to let the flow of words begin. Other then the research for period facts, there's also LIFE; regular life to contend with, such as work, home, pets, sokker, etc... so I only write on weekends and when my schedule allows. It is great fun though, and I find the plot bit most enjoyable. I think it will take a coupe of years to finish and then perhaps another year before its ready for publishing... who knows... maybe one day I'll be able to invite you all to the launching of the Greek translation in an Athenian book store :)

You are using Hebrew or English in this book??

English.

Though just like the anciant Greek phrases I was looking for, I also inserted Ancient Hebrew in to the text.

I'll start by saying that the Greek Freestyle forum is extremely boring and dead. You guys don't like to talk for sure... :) But I am not going to let your brains go numb and have a new issue to discuss... :) It is related a little to this thread so here goes...

πανκράτιον

I just saw a programme on TV about it, both historical roots and modern practitioners and it is/was fascinating. I guess that it was revived partially as a modern fighting art, but also because this is just another magnificent part of your wonderful nation's history.

Does any of you practice Pankration? If so can we get some info from a first hand source...
:)

I've recently saw a documentary about this ancient sport

This could be of some use

I think it is a shame so few people in Greece today practice this. Maybe it could be revived in some and become as important as martial arts are for Japanese or Chinese people...

Thanks for the link :)
