because he used the word 'hate' in order to express what people of salonica feel about citizens of athens!i know a lot of people from salonica ,but noone hates athenians! perhaps they are disappointed because of greek government's policy in several issues ,but there is no hatred between people of the two cities...

actually ,there is no particular hatred that could lead in a fight between people from any two cities in greece...non-athenians might feel they are forgotten from greek government (and they are right) ,but this has nothing to do with hatred and rivarly...

As written above (in the posts about Salonica), Macedonians and Atheneans have their issues but it has nothing to do with their ancient rivalry ;)

Do people in Thessaloníki feel that only Athenians get to influence national politics?

i guess not ,although a citizen from salonica could confirm that! :P
a lot of politicians are from macedonia or other regions ,and our prime minister is from macedonia as well...

their main problems have to do with the level of life in other cities than athens...

1. That's not nice, speaking Greek here in this thread.
2. There IS a country called Macedonia even if you don't like it. The fact that they 'took' a name that doesn't belong to them is irrelevant as the Greek government already agreed to accept it.

roq please stop discussin about the name macedonia or i will close the topic. if you start talkin about it in greek freestyle a lot will answer and it will be like #$%^&*&^%$# and that im sure it will not help you ;)

its official name it's not macedonia ,but FYROM...

so it would be nice to call it that way next time .

we haven't accepted anything yet and we won't accept it because F.Y.R.O.M. never had anything common with Greece.Also Greece is an ancient country but F.Y.R.O.M. not.Also if you search Fillipos B you will see that in his grave they was a text Name:Fillipos B
