BTW, we have similar problem here in Israel with the name 'Palestine'.
Also a great confusion in the world about this name and which one is the correct one, and every person you ask will have a different opinion - this is why I agree that the original name holders should be the correct ones. Macedonia is a region of Greece and that new country should be called something else.

everyone, just relax! the issue wont be solved if you convince someone from Israel or France or sth. for me its not a matter of nationalism (sth that i stand very very far away) but a matter of knowing History or not. RogIronfist shows that knows History and the "hellenicity" of ancient Macedonia (and everything around it, names, language, etc) doesnt seem to be an issue for him. and since he travels he can go to Vergina and see the greek letters etc. interrogating foreign users for their beliefs on sth that is our governments fault doesnt help in anything...
btw, do you know that Filistines were a Minoan colony? according to that theory Palestineans come from Crete :p

Actually, yes they were :) A sea-faring tribe that colonised a small part of the coast where Gaza is today. The Arab nation or any of its descendants have nothing to do with the original name of Philistine. But again we are moving away from the topic of this thread. :)
he wanted to say that all of you should support OFI crete ,the one and only team in the world . lol
nice books are also from the writer valerio massimo manfredi :) he is far better than Pressfield but not so well known ;)
