Hoodibaba to All
Unfortunately priyo has alot of injuries and red cards for wednesday's cup match.

Hopefully that will give me an advantage....but u never know, just look at today's league match.2 injuries and 2 redsbbut still he won 3-0....amazing!!!

Anyway, whatever the case,it'll be an amazing match.Fortunately for me it's also going to be the first match in my stadium after I expanded it.So atleast I'll raise enough money to buy an incredible striker.

May the best team win.

Way to go Chelsea FC.....Finally somebody managed to kick some 'Royal' Ass.
The semis are going to be quite interesting....especially the Chelsea vs Rajputs match up.

What an upset to Unsinkables Cup conquest. Nice work Mayank, although u won because the Unsinkables underestimated you, but nice work on taking advantage of the situation.
We've reached that point of the cup where u have to put up your best team if u want to win it.
Mumbai United also pulled off a nice win against East Bengal, although it was nowhere near Unsinkables's upset.

I feel sorry for those who have their league match against the Unsinkables in the next couple of weeks. Luckily I faced them last week.
2009-02-04 17:19:54
Yeah i did take them very lightly, full marks to mayank`s tactics thg, was really good. All the best to all for the cup.

Truly a fantastic performance by Mayank's XI. Great win. I dont think Mihir played a very weak team, because if you see the report, that is certainly in favour of Unsinkables in each and every aspect. So definitely, I feel Mayank deserves all the credit. May be he is the Giant Killer this season :). Keep it up Mayank.

As far as the NFL is concerned, I agree Unsinkables is going to go full throttle in the league.

I guess this season the Fed Cup could be either Lagends or the evergreen favourites RKFC. But somehow I feel two weeks from now, the event of 2 unearthly trainees hitting Lagends is going to change the scenario.

Well that loss helped me a lot.
If i know the rules top 4 in the ranking plays bottom 4 based on a lucky draw.
If thats true, his loss has bring me in the top 4 and now i can expect a weaker team to fight with.
I was praying for 1 of the top 4 to loss and.

Thus the draw hath happened!!!!
Last season's final will not be repeated!!! There is a rematch.. chance for RKFC to take revenge.. :)
And for Legendary to say that last season was no flash in the pan...
Legendary Knights - Royal kolkata F.C

This would be the match which i will keep a keen eye on!!!

I did put the best possible tactic/combination against you but it was also luck that played a major factor. Else u wudnt have hit the bar in the penalty.
2009-02-05 07:50:51
I dont why is it always me who has to play RKFC twice in a week. Same again this season.
As far as the revenge goes...he showed it last season with a 7-0 scoreline in the return leg of the NFL.

Honestly now much I could/can do about it. You can keep your eyes on both the matches :)) next week.
2009-02-05 09:41:30
well i was lucky to face a division 2 team..... i believe atleast somewhere luck is smiling on me
2009-02-05 10:33:02
That's 1 week for my unearthly jrs.
2009-02-05 19:00:59
Well mayank, these things happen yaar, penalty missed player red carded n stuff, so i actually thght it was the tactic more than nethg else that held me, congratulations for that.

And today i rest my case about Rajputs being the "Kings of Draws"!!! Wat a game!!!!

A goal in the last minute of xtra time to call for a penalty shootout!!! Tats a close one..

Btw.. got one question. How is the lineup for a Penalty shootout decided?? Is there a pattern or is it random???
2009-02-12 07:18:56
Yeah even I have that question :)...I guess its the serial/ position number (11 to 1).

anyways....the knights could not continue the Fed Cup dream further. Loosing, as expected, to the Royals, but not before giving a fight. Was a terrific matchup. Thoroughly enjoyed, though would have preferred to be on the winning side. Feels bad to loose in sudden death. RKFC as usual, proved too strong, with exceptional ball control and possesstion. Kalyan Rachna, scripted a memorable comeback for the Royals, making him the player of the match. The Knights let go of a 2 goal lead, which they would always regret in the days to come. One wrong substitution by the manager, didnt help things further, as both goals were conceeded after the sub.

Overall a terrific match, and congrats to Priyo, winning both matches against me this week. All the best for the Semi-Finalists.

The match between Rajputs and ManU too was down to the wire, again as expected. Rajputs proving to be the Draw Specialists, with a last minute goal to take it into the shootout. Amazing game that was. Regarding the other two quarter finals, Lagends truly signed off the surprise package from Mayank and Chelsea ensured a crual end to the Mumbai minnows.

Gread quarters...back to NFL now...and looking forward to the menacing face of Tomasutto. Will fight for a sober sroreline though.

Thank you,thank you very much.
Finally, I got the better of Priyo in the Cup after a long time.
The red card to my defender actually helped my cause as it took Rachna out of the game.
Luckily for Priyo he faces East Bengal on Sunday and can win without Rachna.
If ManU are lucky, maybe Rachna will still be injured next Sunday.

As for the other match, it was a close one with Chelsea just scraping through in the end, something like in the EPL.
I can't wait to meet Chelsea next Sunday.
