Subject: [NT U21] Nederland U20 - India U21

Friday we take on my home country Nederland !
The boys in orange play with an U20 squad, which probably will still have better players compared to our U21 squad.

What a great game , after being 2-0 down we managed to grab 3 points !

That was a shocking result and I guess it came as a big surprise to everybody. However you've made great jobs and it was a match where India dominated (at least that is shown by the number of shoots). I haven't seen the match yet 'cause I've got a 7x7 game in a bit but I will watch it later on...

Indeed a very big upset. I especially liked the 2 passes to set up the first 2 goals. Suchi really gave their defence a hard time.
However, we shouldn't get 2 carried away as it seemed as if they underestimated us and fielded a weaker team than their last match against France whom they beat 4-0.
I wish this match was a World Cup qualifier ;)

general had already stated that they will field their u-20 team rather than u-21 team......
hope we can really beat them:-)

Seeing Nederland U21 was in the last 4 in last seasons U21 World Cup, we agreed to play against a U20 side.
Offcourse we can't compare India to Nederland on full strength....
But still, this is an amazing score !

Could someone explain the staggered formation that NED used....Any idea whats the concept/logic behind it. How does it help/benefit, if it does at all.

The only reasoning I can see behind it is so that in the midfield 2 people can be on the ball.
