Alienomo to All
Hi,
I'm following your National Team and I can't understand why the qualification of a team with so good potentiality is going so bad. You could do better than this!
Particularly, watching the last match against Brazil (from the 60th minute to the end of the match) I think that De Generaal should do that kind of experiments with his club team and not with your National Team. He gave me the impression of a tired, bored and disinterested coach...

There must have gone something wrong in the tactics, cause the match was played with a standard tactic. India is doing great for a small country, you don't show much respect for the current coach.
But I take this is your manner of showing interest in the NT managership ? As you already spammed me and probably all other India managers

Yes you are right. My additional tactics were deleted for this match, cannot explain hoiw that happened. The score was already 1-6, so the quality difference was already clear.
But if this cocky Italian guy must think he stands a chance against the number four in the world, he should run for elections.

I didn't spam you, I simply wrote a mail to ask informations. And before you, I wrote only to De Generaal always using good manners: two mails cannot be defined "spam". No one of you answered me to the question "Is there a chance for other coaches in the next elections or is De Generaal the winner from the start and is useless proposing myself?". It was just a question, and you could just answer: "Better you stay home, leave things as they are, it's impossible to win."
It's obvious that my desire is to manage your NT, I don't hidden myself, it's not a crime: it's only a proposal. But I see that you don't want to try, to change, to see if really another manager could give India something new or even take it where it never managed to arrive.
I believed that an intermediate season like the next one, with no World Cup nor qualifications, could be perfect for you to experiment new roads, but evidently it isn't so. I'm sorry to have disturbed you...

Dear De Generaal, I respect you and I'm sorry if I gave another impression.
Now I explain you why you give me the impression of a tired, bored and disinterested coach:
1- I read all your thread and I saw that since very much time all you write is "Here is the link for the NT-elections : De Generaal". A NT coach should be more present than this... in my opinion he should involve, thrill, unite the community... not only say where to vote him.
2- Two years ago you said you'd given up and you're still here: for this I asked you if there was a chance to be elected for the intermediate year... but I'm still waiting your kind answer...
3- I follow the Indian National Team watching all the qualification matches: this year didn't go as you imagined, admit it.

As you can see the community isn't very active, most managers who are in the National League now have had my help in the past. With them (for example Avi and Hoodibaba did a great job) we've tried to get new managers forwards in the game and become committed, but that's a very hard job. The game Sokker isn't really attracting many new users late.

You overestimate the power of the NT, I think. We are in the ranking amongst bigger nations, who have many more possible NT players. India has a very limited choice with only a few active managers.
If you watched the games, you have seen very close matches with Iceland and Australia (both similar small countries, but both with a longer SK history). The two losses against these teams were a bit unlucky, against Iceland I even had to field a 31 and 35 year old midfielder, as their were no other possibilities. Against Brasil its impossible to get a result and Greece is a very strong upcoming country, winning all, but we even managed to score twice against them.

If I am going to step down, I like to be replaced by an experienced Indian coach, that's what I wrote two years ago. Avi is doing the U21, Mithunw quit and Hoodibaba doesn't have the time.

The suggestion in your first post is very different than in the mail you send me and in your last post. For me that doesn't make a very thrustworthy impression.

You have to consider that I tried to contact you some weeks ago and you didn't answer: in such a context, it's difficult to ignore it and continue to be kind. Please forgive me for the seeming "cockiness", because I'm not so.

I understand that the community isn't very active but, for me, it's your "job" awaken it. I know that it's not easy, but you should be more present on the forum in order to stimulate who is not so interested now, but could be in the future. I talk of forum, for the rest I don't doubt your efforts with Hoodibaba and Avi.

I don't overestimate the power of the NT. I know that there are national teams stronger than India, but I don't agree with how you face them. Naturally everyone has his own way of playing, his own preferences and thoughts, this is obvious, but why don't you leave the tactics with no midfield to those who have the strongest teams? Ok, India doesn't have many players, but using a good tactic (and not the same one of the others) maybe you could obtain better results! With more fun!
In fact, I really don't think that the qualification season is going so bad only for bad luck.

If I am going to step down, I like to be replaced by an experienced Indian coach, that's what I wrote two years ago. Avi is doing the U21, Mithunw quit and Hoodibaba doesn't have the time.
I don't want to try to replace you definitely. I proposed to try to change for one season with no qualification and no world cup and let you evaluate if the things could go better as I say. Eventually, you even could change idea in the following year and return to the old life, laughing loudly of that strange man who suddenly appeared telling odd things.
:-)
