India - Pilipinas 1:0

I've tried more defensive tactic in this match and few other defenders from our team, so match was close despite our advantage in stats. One injury on our mid K. Eswara, unfortunately long one - 28 days.

Next week we play with Indonesia. I'm going to try some next reserve players and other tactic maybe.

Indonesia - India 1:2

Another close game. I've tried two young De Generaal's defs in this match. Seems they are both close to play more often in NT matches. No injuries.

One of our main strikers is on transfer - Kishore Parnika

Next week we play with Crna Gora.

The defenders are still trained, on passing right now. Maybe I will boost them a bit on defending after that.

By the way, Parnika was in my team also, nice to see him again ;)

Nice to see 3 of the defenders were from my team. I never wanted to sell Francis & Sarabhjit but had to coz I couldn't train them anymore.
2015-08-16 23:42:29
Good. To be honest if I must choose, I prefer defending training than passing for defenders. I'm from old school - defs are for defending job at first place, not for playmaking tasks. If def has some good passing it is ok of course, but it isn't nescessary for his "job description":). From midfielder's skills more important are tech and play for defs.

It is right approach. If you can't train some interesting player, you better sell him to someone who can. It will be benefitial for NT.

We can't loose any promissing player since we don't have huge youngsters pool like in Poland f.ex.

Crna Gora - India 1:4

Easy win yesterday. One injury on mid R. Ponte (19 days). He is second mid from first lineup injured, so bench players will play next few weeks.

Next week we play with Andorra.

Andorra - India 1:6

Next easy win. Another injury on mid F. Keshavan (11 days). Our mids are obviously attacked by match engine, mid is injured every match:)

Next week we play with U.A.E. Rival is not to strong, so I'm going to field more bench and reserve players.

U.A.E. - India 0:12

Match with no history. Rival's very strange tactic helped us with high score.

Next week we play with as-Sa‘udiyya. It will be next opportunity to try reserve players.

as-Saʻūdiyya - India 0:3

Another easy winning. Bench and reserve defenders played and some of midfielders. And our second keeper who seems to regain form last time. I hope his form rise not only temporarly, we need at laest two keepers in good shape during next season.

Next week we play with Makedonija, much challenging rival.

India - Makedonija 1:2

A bit unlucky defeat today. Match was thrilled. Red cards on both sides (our def vs rival's mid), light injury on our mid. Rival scored one goal from penalty, our strikers were lazy today like never before:).

Besides I think our tactic was less offensive than it should be, my mistake. Fortunately it's a friendly season, so I prefer take lessons now than next season.

Next week we play with Shqipëria.

Shqipëria - India 2:1

A big unlucky defeat this time. We were much better on every areas but engine decided on its own. One goal after big mistake made by our best defender - M. Gorantla (!!!) who is on top form, that's crazy.

You see why I'm careful with any final declarations about advancing. Not everything depends on me (selection, tactics). One or two stupid engine verdicts and we may be out, even when rivals are weaker than we are...

Next week we play with Venezuela - a strong opponent leaded by friend of mine Bartucha, one of most titled manager in Poland.

Since Venezuela advanced to Copa America Finals, we play with USA instead. It will be not easier for us:)

India - USA 0:1

Not so bad result against strong rival. Strange thing is our players were very lazy - no shots, no cards, no activity on the pitch. It was rainy, all right, but this is no excuse:)

Next week we play with Daehan Minguk

Its something I noticed before when playing "stronger" countries. The players (even the ones who are in superdivine form) of equal quality as the opponents players seem to underperform.... Silly mistakes by class defenders are a big example. Or opponent strikers running "through" defenders as if they didnt exist.
2015-10-03 16:43:21
I agree. I have personal opinion about this. But this is based on observations only, not on game rules.

I don't believe that final score is progressing during match. I think match result is setted by engine at the match beginning. Next step is to fit match events to the final result choosen before.

If engine choosed score 0 for us, there is no way to score something, so strikers not making shots or they are shooting bad or rival's defenders tackling everything, no matter what skills, form they have. Same with other side - if engine choosed score 3 for us, our strikers will run and score no matter what skills and form they have and what skiils and form rival's defenders have.

I've always said that matches in Sokker are really playing in cloak-room:)
