Big thanks to our keeper Narender Champia! He won this match for us.
Rival was better on every stats, but Champia stopped their shots with little help of crossbar at one shot.
I was worried about striker Avinash Charu who lost his team-work and tactical discipline after club changing, but today he scored two times and hit crossbar once. I wish have similiar worries with similiar effects in the future:)
I also was worried about our central midfield, since our best central mid Ponte is injured, but Peter Krishnamma replaced him successfully and made an assist.
I'm very pleased - we collected 9 points after 3 matches.
Next week we play away against Türkiye - strongest team in our group.

Türkiye - India 2:0
Our first defeat, but I think it's not a shame regarding rival's strenght (81 team stats). Same number of shots on both sides, but only rival scored. We are 2nd in group and I hope we can hold this position to the end of qualifications.
Next week we play against Belarus.

We were lucky before so engine repaid a little today. Our advantage in every stats was not good enough. It's a pity since we reached best team stats this season (77,3). Maybe this is the reason - handicap for weaker teams is devastating time to time.
I'm sad. Points lost today may be critical at the end of qualifications. It is forcing us to gain points from Russia and Moldova again....
Next week we play friendly with Malta.

It was harder than last time with Belarus, fortunately with happy end for us this time. Our two missed penalties made match very nervous, but in 88' we finally scored.
Since Moldova beat Russia we are still in the game. Next week we play against Türkiye so it will be difficult to gain points...

Not a bad game against such a strong opponent. Goaldifference is on our side also, although Russia scored 8 against Thailand.
A draw against Russia could be enough to progress. If Turkey does its duty against Russia in the last match offcourse !

Close game with almost equal stats. Every final score was possible, but at the end Russia won, they scored winning goal in 84'. We hit crossbar early, no goal.
I was blocked with strikers, since only two of them were capable to play. The rest were injured or in tragic form. Therefore striker replacement in second half was impossible. Rupali is 32yo and his stamina is far from top, he should be replaced in second half....
Well, we must win two remaining matches and count on Turkiye or Belarus. At least one of them must defeat Russia. We'll se.

Predicted win. We have 3rd place guarated since Moldova has 4 point less than we have.
Now we are preparing for last match against Moldova. We must win this match and count on Turkiye who must defeat Russia. Two hard conditions - win against Moldova will not be easy and Turkiye is not uder pressure to beat Russia.
Our main players are in mixed form, one defender is banned (red card), no injuries on key players. Not bad, but not everything is depending on us...

It is nice when group strongest team's coach appreciates our team. I must thank panter for his behavior in match against Russia. He treated match seriously.
But at the end Russia is second team who goes to World Cup. I can blame myself for one match - draw against Belarus, there we lost needed points. Other matches were played well by India I think. It was very strong group.
I don't forgot what I said during last elections. I failed with qualifications, so I'm not going to start for another season with NT India.
Three friendlies left, so I'm not going to make serious changes in squad. I'm' leaving this in next NT coach hands. He will have entire friendly season to prepare team for next WCQ. But I'm going to field players who may play in next WCQ, some oldest players will be to old to play then.
