Subject: World Cup Quals.

At Saturday we start World Cup Qualification.

We are in group E.

Our rivals are:

Portugal
Cymru
Srbija i Crna Gora

Tommorow we will play again Portugal, it will very difficult match, if we will draw it I will be very happy.

Our tactic is adequate at the level of players we have.

I hope we will not lose more than 5 goals...
The match should be played tommorow at 13.00 sokker time.

I will work tommorow so I don't know if I will watch it live.

Against Portugal we lost 3:1, but it isn't bad result:


Portugal - India 3:1 (1:0)

It wasn`t bad match. We have lose 3:1 but we must remember that, looking at skills of the Portugal and Indian players, the worst Portugal`s player is better than our the best player.

It`s important that Chiba scored the first goal for India in the NT`s history.

I think we must find players with better pace and more defenders.


Result of other "new nations":

Slovensko 14 : 0 Malaysia
Malaysia played bad in defensive and out of penalty-shot area, many goals was scored from big distance

Nippon 5 : 0 Israel
Nippon won because coach of Israel NT was banned, because he had registered 14 times and voted for himself

Magyarország 5 : 0 Ísland
Very good form of Magyarország attackers and red card for an insland players

Sverige - Ecuador 3:1
Sverige won because is older country and has better players. Ecuador didn't play bad

Congrats on a decent start.

Hopefully our performances will keep improving.

My only thoughts on that is that 6 and 9 should have been a bit wider, to try and capitalise on the narrow Portugal formation. Although as they have a new manager, you wouldn't have known that they were going to do that anyway.

Yeah, I should imagine it's fairly difficult when your defenders don't have the levels to tackle though.

I'd so love to know what the f**k Rangwala was doing playing in defence though. He's only an adequate defender but he's India's best midfielder ffs.

Radek's really got that wrong. He MUST PLAY MIDFIELD! Quite simple...

I asked Radek why Rodrigues was playing in midfield with hopeless passing.

Answer: Because he has solid playmaking.

I found out I was using Rangwala in the wrong position. As a winger he was getting those through balls so well. Got a new striker as well:).

You need both passing AND pm to have decent midfielders. If one if missing, then they are not worth having there.

An average pm/average passer would be a lot better, and I'd expect they exist in India.

I'm playing with a very good passing and adequate playmaking midfielder whose indian. and yet in the Indian NT he's playing in defence. LOL!!

Yeah that's a total joke.

A solid pm and hopeless passer LOL! He'd make his mind quickly and then delvier a crap pass.

Adequate playmaking is fine for your league (he'll probably lose it a fair bit in the NT but he's easily India's best still).

Also, I'd play him DM OR wing. My DM puts in BRILLIANT through balls (although he's nothing special as a passer, only VG) because he makes such long passes (I sit him really deep) and has time on the ball because AM's are easy to beat. Wingers can also put in some really nice balls but considering he has adequate defending he'll tackle basically anyone in India.
