Remember that junior overall skill is a coach's approximation only. When you promoting junior from academy, his sum of skills reveal real level of general skill at this moment.
But his real talent still must be determined by training in senior team.

Does playing both the games in a week count as a full week training or just one of the games. For example, if a player pops in 4 weeks but only plays 3 official games and 4 friendlies, how to look at his talent particularly when he has played for different duration in every game?
If he plays 2 games in 1 week it's still counted as 1 week as the benefit from the 2nd game is very small.
League games and national cup games are most valuable for training. Friendly games gives less.
You can field player twice a week, but profit from second game is tiny. In my opinion not worth comparing to doubled injury risk.
So training in official games is faster a little. If you can field youngsters in official games due to poor league (cup) rivals - go for it. But if you must fight for promotion, fielding them in wednesdays only is a good option also. They are young and they train faster than olders.
Another advantage of friendly games is possibility to set "safe" tactic for such game. You can put one or few players on safe positions to avoid injuries. Give them hanging on the corner all the match time and voila:)

I asked a question in Sokker International but am still confused. My question is this:
'If a player plays as defender in official game but plays as striker in friendly, will he get the defending training that I set for the whole week?'
'If a player plays as defender in official game but plays as striker in friendly, will he get the defending training that I set for the whole week?'
He will get training for whatever the last position he played was (GK, DEF, MID, ATT).
ie theoretically, you could play a striker with DEF orders, and then he would get 100% training).
If you did what most people do and play him as a defender with DEF order, and then striker with ATT order, he will only get the minutes he played as the ATT order.
Now some skills do seem to train better with certain orders but this is a whole other topic.

So he will get the defending training for the Sunday game and general training for the Wednesday game(since he played as striker when training is set defending for defenders throughout the week) right?

No. He will not get defending training. As the last match he played was not as a defender
Not even Sunday's training? If yes, that's a big bug in Sokker then.
Basically if you play a match on Wednesday, he gets training for the position he played in that match. Doesn't matter even if he played any prior matches that week. That's why you can only train a max of 10 people in a week. Less for strikers and keepers.
They are going to change this in the new revamped sokker.
But it isn't really a problem for me. If I want someone to play 2 matches and get the training I just ensure he plays in the correct position on Wednesday. On Sunday he can play anywhere.

I think I was doing the opposite for 1 player. I was playing him in training position on Sunday but some other position on Wednesday. I think I'll have to change that if the Wednesday training position counts.

Let's say it in possible straiht way - only last game before training upadte counts.
If player play on Sunday and not play on Wednesday - his position from Sunday counts
If player play on Sunday and on Wednesday on same position - both games counts
If player play on Sunday and Wednesday, but on different positions - only Wednesday match counts.
Stamina and pace are exceptions:
Pace is for all positions, so it doesn't matter where player plays
Stamina is for all, even for those who never play

If I change the pitch type from 'Garden Grass' to say 'Finest professional Bermuda Grass', will it reduce the injuries by a great extent? And how profitable is it since I'll be spending quite a lot of money on that.

Better pitch lower possibility of injury. So if you are not lucky enough, injuries can occur even more often.
It's all about lottery. Buying better pitch is like you are buying another lottery ticket. You have better chances then, but still no warranty:)

Hmm, I think I can then spend some of my money for laying out a new pitch type as avoiding those few injuries is crucial for the young players to reach their max potential.
I'm currently going by the policy of constant money sink where I continuously spend much of my cash in stadium boosts, coach upgradations, junior school investment, etc. The main reason why I'm doing this is because firstly, I don't need money for urgent transfers since everything is a breeze for me currently due to the lack of quality of opponents. Secondly, my team and training regime is set and I'm not looking for any radical changes to the club in terms of changing a training routine, bringing in new big players, etc. Thirdly, in this season, I'm actually expecting some big returns from the junior school. So constantly investing in other stuff (and yeah having a very marginal account balance) develops my club rapidly on all fronts.
