Subject: [U21 NT] TES

I was a little concerned after the 1st half today but surprisingly, 2 of our most underrated players raised their bar today to get us this win. Shilpa outshone both Sundaramoorthy and Suksma (maybe because he was better placed) and Dasdidar was a super sub who bought us that 3rd goal which was mostly his with Sundaramoorthy just ensuring that the ball goes in. We had a discussion about Dasdidar playing in the front and while I was skeptical about it, it turned out to be quite an innovative move by @TES that got us in that extra goal. Also looking back, that Naini perfect short pass to Shilpa for the 1st goal set the tone so Naini has played a crucial hand in this win although he looked a bit worn out in the 2nd half.

We finally got a win after 3 successive draws which also means that we are now unbeaten for 4 games.

By the way, the name of the tactic 'revenge' sounds particularly fitting when you consider that we won by 3 goals to none with 2 Saudi Arabian players injured lol. The brashness was good to see.

Good match and a large victory, this is the first time we score 3 goals and this is encouraging fot 'revenge' tactict. I thought to use it only when in trouble because it's a bit aggressive... India has a new arrow for its bow!

Shilpa and Dasdidar did well and I'm going to continue in this way because of our lack in midfield... against stronger team it could be hazardous but ... only the braves win.

Let me add a very good work in Defence even when Rochan went in the line of the 4 defenders.
I enjoyed in the end with the push of our fast Tilak... good switch with Anees.

Sukusma was great again behind two strikers and Naini gave some nice balls togheter with a good work in the middle.

I'm looking forward to see our team against Slovenia!

He got mark 60 and 62 in last two matches... I will try to contain him with our best players on his side.

Unfortunately Mamusamy has great defence skill but he is very slow.. I think I will confirm last choices in defence and see if it wothes use him a few minutes in the end.

Anees today got a yellow card and I see him with red card in my line up against Slovenia :(
I am not sure about he could play even if it's a nt friendly and he got cards in an other competition.

Yes he can play.
Cards picked up in the national league or cup do not count towards NT cards.
You can see his NT cards below the number of his NT assists. He has only 1 NT yellow card.
Even if he did have an NT red card he can still play in NT friendlies since it's not an official match.

As Hoodibaba mentioned, cards in local official games don't count towards NT games.

In the U21 Asian Cup, we are slotted with Vietnam, Hong Kong and Thailand. Vietnam will be sureshot winner of the group but the rest of the 3 teams viz India, Hong Kong and Thailand are evenly matched. We are ranked 3rd by ranking but if we go avg marks, there's not a huge gap between the 2nd placed team and 4th placed team. There will be a big tussle for the 2nd place and it might very well come down to GD to decide who qualifies.

We Will play our cards and use the revenge tactict (to score and break bones) if they did not let us other chances.... :)

Woohoo, we literally outclassed Slovenia as we pumped in another 3 goals in this games as well. We are now unbeaten for 5 continuous games which is a big achievement.

Who cares about Burja when we have Soondaramoorthy!
