Amazing defensive game yesterday against Vietnam. @TES displays another tactical masterclass as we hold a superior Vietnam to a draw and continue with our unbeaten streak to 7 games as we rise 1 place above to 71st now. Chandramouli and Zev (in fact the whole defense) were the stars for us. Even though the play in the half was 72%, they still could manage only 9 shots which is far less for a team with that level of control which also goes to show the way we were suffocating their dangerous forward and wingers. I would say this is one of the best India U21 game that I have watched and maybe the best result, even better than the 3-1 win against Slovenia.

Thanks a lot mate! you're right, we were under fire but we managed it well and Shilpa had a great chance to score.
I think it could be useful for the asian cup match against VietNam to switch Sukusma with Sundaramoorthy and try to win some challange in order to counter attack sometimes. Dasdidar had an higher mark then Shilpa, maybe because he is better in defence skill and can help more to keep the ball... I'm thinking about him in a starter eleven. It was so difficult to pass the midfield against them, those players had high marks and I'm proud to see the way in wich India faced them.
Defence is on the top and I'm happy to see we have 3 good tactics to choose between.

Next opponent is Panama, probably we are not favourited and I will start with control tactic (I don't think we need to counter attack against them)

I wouldn't worry too much about the average mark because I've seen plenty of players in my club as well as NT who have low average mark but play better than players with high average mark. Some skills tend to inflate the average mark I think. About Dasdidar, he is really strong in 4 skills, pace, defending, playmaking and striking and that's what tends to inflate the average mark. It has been a little difficult to judge him since he comes in very late (which I agree with), but you can consider giving him 1 full half or maybe more than that just as an experiment in the next game just before the U21 Asian Cup so that it will be easier for us to understand his game for NT. Because of low stamina, it's always better to let him come as a substitute as the opposition players tend to be drained by then and he can play freely despite his low stamina. Also, let me know if he is better served in some other team since I train pace and defending hehe.

Another good game for us, this time against Panama. Our players are getting more and more confident in passing and we are improving on the play in half statistic immensely. We were without our main striker Soondaramoorthy this time, so a draw was kind of expected (no offense to both Suksma and Shilpa). Our experiment with regards to Dasdidar wasn't very successful since he couldn't manage to make a big impact but to be fair, neither Suksma nor Shilpa were looking up to the mark today. Dasdidar's one shot in ~65th min was great and that could've easily been a goal but the keeper came up with a brilliant save to deny the goal (Both keepers were brilliant, Chandramouli the Wall stopping 2 close rangers). After around 25 minutes I guess, Dasdidar's pace also had gone down but he surprised the Panama defenders once or twice with his tackle lol. If I'm not wrong, Suksma played in defence in 2nd half, right? That was a bit surprising for me. Anyway, even with all these new experiments, we still managed to keep it to a draw without much of a hassle. We last played Panama in the last season, and guess what, it was a similar scoreline. This could be a nice rivalry in the future.

Our play is getting better and better and I'm sure it depends mostly on the good training plan players have in their club. Congratulations to KautukT, Hoodibaba and Wiki. Tactics are now fine tuned and I am enjoing our good results. Dasdidar experiment was good in my opinion. He was well supported by Nikhil. He was the only striker and they created a very good chance togheter. Nothing more to ask today. This time we have played in 10 since the 24 minutes due to Lanka red card. A big problem for us considering Sundaramoorthy absence today. Sukusma went to Defence line and did a good job. He can play everywhere and I set him to cover players with red cards.
In the end we tried with revenge tactict, but today a drawn was good and let our unbeaten streak goes on and on.

Yeah, we got a red card in the 25th minute and we still managed to play a better game than them and restricted this to a draw. Amazing.

Brilliant work TES and Kautuk. I think this must be our longest unbeaten streak ever.

Haha I have only done a small bit, the maximum credit should be given to TES followed by you and Wiki who have been instrumental in training our stars :)

Just to add to that, we were 76th at the start of the season and now we are 70th. Already it has been an exceptional season for us.

I'm happy things are going in the right way. Even if there are only 3 managers (two indians plus Wiki) to feed our u21 NT I had a lot of ideas and motivations and I tried to do my best.
I dream to grip 1.000 in ranking soon but I'm already happy I did history with this unbeaten streak ;)

I'm happy things are going in the right way. Even if there are only 3 managers (two indians plus Wiki) to feed our u21 NT I had a lot of ideas and motivations and I tried to do my best.

I think we can also keep a lookout on those managers who are buying our young players and if the manager tends to buy our player often (min twice maybe), we can make it a point to invite them to regularly check out this forum for new youth pull updates in case they are interested and also just SK mail them about the new player. That way, they'll be up to date with the new Indian players in the market.

Yeah, Sundaramoorthy seems to have been injured in his club match so he may not be available for the first 2 games of the group stage of the Asian Cup which might hurt us badly. Suksma, Shilpa and Dasdidar have to raise their game for us in his absence.

That's a good idea. There are a few managers who buy my players quite often. I can check and let you'll know who they are

Dharma [74250] - He's bought numerous players from me recently.
Rizzo United [4844] - He bought Govind from me last week and another player long ago who is now retired.
DrogbaTeam [43585] - He also bought my players a long time ago.
Hulde [18631] - He was the NT coach for India for the longest time and has been performing very well as Netherlands NT coach. When I have some really good players I want to sell I let him know. He passes on the word. But only the very best like recently I informed him about Suksma.

There were 3 other teams as well but they don't exist any longer
