Then you can train him in defending and I can try buying him next season when I start pace. I don't have any defending slots available currently but I plan to sell Dasdidar either at the end of this season or at the start of the next season so 1 slot will be empty.

That was a bit too close for my liking but we got that win and that's what matters. Thought it would be an early exit but that last minute goal was awesome!

amazing match, I jumped on my sofa a thousand times!!!
We controled the game, we did 20 shots on target... but weren't able to score untill 90 min. unbelivable two penalties against us and singapore was very close to win without doing nothing.... it seemed a wicked game!
we did it tnx to out perfect GK in the penalties.
go India gooooooooooooooo!!!

The previous match just proves how important having a good GK is. Chandramouli literally carried the team in the penalties and even made some fine saves during the main game. Have to appreciate Singapore though, they were resilient but the game meandered into penalties mainly because our strikers failed to capitalize the numerous chances that they got. Both Sundaramoorthy and Dasdidar lacked that finishing touch but fortunately Sundaramoorthy found himself in the perfect position in the last minute and got the most perfect ball from Suksma (who in turn received a crucial pass from Tilak) and got us that equalizer. I had literally given up hope about the game in the 85th minute itself but it was good to see the resilience of our players to win the game from a goal down.

The next game against Australia is going to be a difficult one now. They beat a stronger NZ in the pre-quarters 2-1 coming back from a goal down in the 1st min itself. Their group stage was 1 win, 1 draw and a defeat but it was also against teams that were fairly strong if you look at the avg mark. They have a GK (Farmer) who gives an avg mark of 90 which most probably means he is atleast unearthly in his GK skill. Their forwards Trajcevski, Marth and Morgan our dangerous. In fact, my club has played against an Australian team that has Marth in their squad and I can say that he is really quick, his finishing is a bit lacking but speed and tech is really good. The only weak link that I see of theirs is defence which we can look to exploit somehow as even their mids are strong. Our forwards need to be up to the mark in the next game, I'm fairly confident about our defence.

Also, was Anees injured or you left him out?

Yes Chandra was great during penalties but even Defs and Mids ( subs too) did a very good job in the 120 minutes. I'm worried about strikers bad abilities to capitalize chances... 20 shots and 1 goal made our day heavy. I think India deserved to win even if Singapore was ahead untill 90 minute. Singapore manager wrote on the forum he can"t belve it... aaahhhhh ahhhh ahhhh :) the team scored by penalties only (not able to score twice) and it was submerged by India all match... to be honest we would have a 3 goals win at least .

Anees had a red card and he will be back against Australia but unfortunately Nikhill will be out...

I need to think about the line up... Dasdidar and Shilpa will probably start on the bench.

It's understandable that he will be frustrated after missing out on a penalty in the dying minutes and then India scoring a goal in literally the last minute ;)
