What a thrilling win! Really good game today, Sundaramoorthy finding the target and beating the keeper today in the 1st half after a pass from Suksma got luckily intercepted. It was an evenly fought game with both sides creating good chances and it could easily have been 1-1 if not for a clever tackle from Zev in the 60th minute to keep the lead with us. On to the semis! Winning streak now 5 games and we will be facing the winner of Israel and Armenia next.

I'm very proud of it!
Both teams played a good match and I'm happy my choices were good enought to win.

Dasidar failed an easy goal in the 1st half and Chanda was divine in a couple of situations…

Now India's ranking is higher then 1.000 :) is it an other record? :)

Yes a very good performance against a very good opponent, even though we had a few key players missing.
I'm sure it's another record.

Whilst I'm not impressed with how the ME decided the final result would turn out, it was still a good game to watch.

Hopefully the depth of the current Indian youths is as strong as the current side, because if so, you should be able to bring them up to the 4th pot in WCQ.

There are 4 pillars of this current Indian squad. Chandramouli, Zev, Sundaramoorthy and Naini. We'll be losing 2 pillars (Chandramouli and Naini) at the end of this season to hopefully be replaced by someone equally good. Although I don't think the keepers/mids waiting in the wings are at the same level as Chandramouli/Naini.

Also, this victory is more special for us since as Hoodibaba mentioned we were playing without Naini and Nikhil who are our 1st and 2nd best mids respectively.

Next match is away against Armenia (I think) and it won't be easy...
The only one missing is Rochan, important but not fondamental player

We are going to make a defensive match but I hope to play our cards in the right way.

4th pot in WCQ? Difficult to say... next season we will face some problems in defence due to a lack of good new players there and this could be very dangerous.

Right... there are no emerging players close to Naini (the mind) and Chandra (the neverending wall).
Chohan and Lavanya are similar... but very far from Chandra skills.
the Gk with better form will be the chosen one.

Not easy to replace Naini as well but Anees and Satwant are very young and they already play in current selection... I hope they could improve their skills in the coming weeks.

Biswas and Rochan will step up for the defence next season.
I will also be getting some exciting new pulls next season.

If they have good skill distribution maybe they could start playing for the NT immediately

Age update!

I have just realized now that on 25th players get older.... does it means we Will play against Armania without corrente 21yo?!

That would be a big blow if we are not allowed to play 21y players.

Best to clear that on the forum. But I doubt we can play them.

Armenia manger told me the age update is in the night of 25th so in the semifinal current 21 y.o. will play.
Of course final match will be without them.

I want you to know I won't candidate for India u21 next season.
Two seasons passed togheter were really amazing and I found here very good people.
Today I think my task is achived and I hope you will remember me in India u21 hall of fame.
India u21 today owns a wider DB then the past and it is still envoled in Asian Cup.
Today ranking points is 1.032,71 (position n. 67).
This represents an important success to celebrate!
I'm very proud of the 8 match unbeaten streak too, I hope this record will remain for a while...

When I met Hoodi I was looking for a NT experience.
He proposed me to work in U21 and I though it was a good idea.
First season I had to work a lot to understand players and correct way to use them.
Second season India performed very well, I don't know how Asian Cap will be in the end but I'm sure India was not one of the favourites... now let's play semifinal and enjoy the match.

Kau was great during all the season.
He was a strong support for my work and a very clever and prepared assistant (can I call you assistant?)

I will apply to a NT because I want to plan some years with players older the 21.
I didn't ask you to be India NT manager because I know you already have a good one and you're working fine togheter.
Please consider me in the futrue if a change will be needed, it will be very nice to welcome back "my players" in major team ;)

If you will allow me I would like to support India u21.
I can be an active part in your forum and buy some u21 players to train (for exemple).
