Subject: Training Regime of Managers

KautukP [del] to All
I just recently switched from pace to defending training(Am actually a pace and def training manager for now). Other managers too can give their own training updates.

This will help in coordinating the training of Indian NT juniors.

I am currently training pace. When required I will switch to defending.
I switch to stamina at the season end when I only have 1 match in the week.
This week training technique as 1 player has reached superdivine in pace. No point training him in pace. So 1 week technique then I will put him on the TL on Thursday and go back to pace.

Some of my interesting insights:

Head Coach: Average (26th Mar - 14th May)
[2]unsatisfactory stamina [5]average keeper
[16]unearthly pace [16]unearthly defender
[2]unsatisfactory technique [1]hopeless playmaker
[0]tragic passing [1]hopeless striker

Assistants: 2 (Both weak)
Total Weeks Training: 7
Pace Training Weeks: 5 Defending Training Weeks: 2
Total Trained Skill Pops: 15
Total Other Skill Pops: 3
Average pops/week: 2.57 (Excluded Stamina pops)

Then I got a new incredible coach with whom I trained stamina for 2 weeks. I have skipped those 2 weeks for him.

Head Coach: Incredible (4th June - 16th July)
[8]solid stamina [7]good keeper
[16]unearthly pace [16]unearthly defender
[12]outstanding technique [16]unearthly playmaker
[15]magical passing [15]magical striker

Total Weeks Training: 7
Pace Training Weeks: 4 Defending Training Weeks: 3
Total Trained Skill Pops: 17
Total Other Skill Pops: 18
Average pops/week: 5 (Excluded Stamina pops)

As you can see, an upgradation in coach from average to incredible has made a big difference in jumps in other skills. The first head coach had 2 weak assistants while the 2nd incredible coach had 0 assistants. Now, I've recently have got 3 new assistants (2 adequates and 1 good). Let's see if there's a big progress in the coming weeks.

My player count was always in the range of 18-21 and average age around 19-20. Additionally, there were 2 players who rarely got training in both cycles who we can exclude from total player range and thus the actual range could be 16-18 with 16/17 being a more accurate number.

Just posted this so that other new users can learn from this. I too am getting to know new things.

My next objective is to upgrade my head coach to a magical one and have atleast 3 excellent [10*3=30] assistants which would be equivalent to 2 magical [15*2=30] assistants. I'll also keep a look out on the performance of youth coach for my junior school and see whether I can get a new magical youth coach and replace the current brilliant one.

In all honesty, all this process may take a few seasons as I'll be waiting for my sponsorship money and gate earnings to increase to a sufficient enough value such that I can pay off all these additional expenses without going too much in loss. Parallel to that, I'm sure my club will produce the next NT superstar in the coming seasons so that money will come in handy as well.

Having said all this, how does your coaching staff look like @Hoodibaba?

1 magical head coach
3 magical assistants
1 unearthly junior coach

I see that there's nothing lacking there :)
2020-07-23 06:56:16
Pops this week:

+2, -1 stam
+1 tech
+2 str
+1 play
2020-07-23 19:18:49
For the longest time I had 1 magical & 2 brilliant assistants.
Only this season I made it 3 magical assistants coz I'm sitting on a huge stockpile of cash :)
Will be upgrading my stadium also in between seasons.

What was the salary difference between the two coaches?
2020-07-26 15:59:03
In my first 7 weeks, the combined salary of all my training staff was:

Head Coach (average): Rs 576250
Assistant 1 (weak): Rs 73750
Assistant 2 (weak): Rs 36250
Junior Coach (outstanding): Rs 957500
Total Expenses on Coaches: Rs 1643750

You could even say that this was still optimal considering the limited sponsor money being inserted in the club's coffers. My head coach was unearthly in the skills that I was training (Pace & Def) and thus his high wages.

In my second 7 weeks:

Head Coach (incredible): Rs 1345000
Junior Coach (outstanding): Rs 957500
Total: Rs 2302500

Now, currently:

Head Coach (incredible): Rs 1345000
Assistant 1 (adequate): Rs 90000
Assistant 2 (adequate): Rs 116250
Assistant 3 (good): Rs 91250
Junior Coach (brilliant): Rs 1401250
Total: Rs 3043750

Don't worry about your coaching staff too much for now. Try to get a coach who is magical/unearthly in the skills that you train (I would suggest training pace and defending alternatively for 4 weeks) and low in other skills so that you don't have to pay too much. You can then make periodic upgradations as your sponsor money keeps improving. Also, buy a few youngsters in the age range of 17-20 as they get trained more easily as compared to the older guys. If you are training defending, buy 5 young defenders and train them alternatively on defending and pace (The full playing 11 gets pace training btw). Additionally, download a software called Sokker Viewer which you can use to track all the skill upgradations of your players (it has many other uses as well btw. I could pull up all my past salary data from there).

Thank you for the detailed stats.
Sokker Viewer download links are not available now on their website.
I am currently training strikers - 3 in my league game and 3 in friendlies. I plan to train technique on the same trainees after this as I understand that is the strikers' most important secondary skill. Till what level can I take the trainees to, on their scoring ability before I switch over to secondary skill training. At present they are only weak-inadequate.

The first link also has tools apart from Sokker Viewer that you can use to track progress of players. The second link is the direct one to Sokker Viewer. I used Apollo for a while but then switched completely to Sokker Viewer on @Hoodibaba's suggestion since it had many more new extra features and tools and overall was much better.

3 skills are important for strikers: striker, pace and technique. I would say all 3 are important but of course, the striker skill is the most important one.

@TES We have found an Indian striker trainer.

Till what level can I take the trainees to, on their scoring ability before I switch over to secondary skill training. At present they are only weak-inadequate.
There are multiple factors that come into play such as the age of the player, the skill of the coach, etc. Try getting a coach who is atleast brilliant/magical if not unearthly in pace, tech and striker since that would impart the maximum effect on the trainees. You can buy such a coach either from the TL or using skills recruitment from the training tab. While using skills recruitment, set desired attributes such as pace, tech and strik to unearthly and other attributes to the lowest value as possible. However, using skills recruitment can sometimes be costly but it definitely gives you a coach quickly enough and you don't have to wait for the perfect coach for your team to come on TL. You can also have 3 weak-adequate assistants for now.

I would suggest training strik, tech and pace alternatively for 4 weeks. I see that you have very young trainees (age 16-17) and that's a really good starting point although I don't know their skills. But you'll definitely see good results with them in 1/2 seasons and you'll earn big bucks after selling them.

Welcome to Sokker. Nice to have another manager that's active in the forums.
It's also good that you are training strikers. They are the most expensive players.
For strikers main skills are Pace, technique & striker. It's important to have a good balance between all 3 skills.
Secondary skills would be defending, playmaking & passing. Doesn't really matter at your stage.

Younger players pop in pace faster than older players so train pace initially if they are young.
