bumpuss [del] to All
Hi fellas,
Yes i am running for national coach of India. I am currently in the Australian league - and i enjoy playing this game.

I have played many strategy-management online games and have been very sucessful. As National Coach India, I understand being a relatively new country a lot of development is needed.

My tactics will vary from opponent to opponent, to try and exploit their weaknesses while strengthening our own. Good rotation policy will ensure the squad remain fit, and that best will play in crucial matches.

I also understand the importance of good relationships with other managers, exceptionally when it comes to scouting and player development. I may employ the services of a few reliable manager to help with the database and scouting.

My aim, as coach of Indian team is simple to improve the ranking of the team. This means winning, and thats all i aim for. Drawing unless crucial/ unless against significantly better opponent is not good enough for me. In the early stages I intend to work closely with the previous National Coach to get his input, as he would have gained a good understanding of the squad.

Why Indian national coach? you ask, well I actually have an Indian background so I though why not?.

So Vote ONE: Bumpuss!

Bumpuss , I have a question for you:
Seeing as you only play this game since Octobre 13 , how can India profit from your experience ?

Firstly India is relatively new nation - and I am player who likes to try new things in terms of tactics.

Also development is the key focus, I understand that other managers in India will be a key in this. As they are the ones training the players and bringing in new talent. So I am willing to collaborate with them and work together as team rather than as an individual.

So my lack of experience, is a strength in the sense that I will employ different strategies, whilst my collaboration with managers will ensure that the team moves in the right direction.

In the end I love challenges! And I see this as a big one.

On top of that - I quickly the learnt the basics of the game. And myself am very good tactian, playing Cricket and being a Captain of my club team.

In my opinion India is in need of an experienced coach, who can create a basis on which the current managers can build on in the future.
Looking at your results, I don't see a tactical genius as you finished second in a league IV of Australia. You did not manage to win your qualification match against a very poor team.
One of the essential elements to create a good tactic, is having "Plus" to analyse the statistics and weaknesses of your opponents.

In your advantage speaks that you play cricket (which can't be verified) and you're very enthousiastic.

In the end the managers of India will decide if that's enough of becoming their National Coach

Experience is important - but it will not guarantee success. You can play for this game for years - but it does mean that you will be better player. On the other a new player will be more open to try new things.

Yes i did finish second, but remembering that only joined in October, I was in 4th place initially. I improved by two positions.

Being in the game for only short team - it was a reasonable performance. The lack of depth in squad hurt me in the qualifications - as both my strikers injured, and I wasnt expecting to play qualifying match.

If I had not played my strikers in the previous matches, I probably would not have been in 2nd place in the first place.

Also being in lower a division allows me to experiment and try new things.

I also Battrick and Ultra-cricket - both cricket management games, I used to play Utopia and Travian.

I have only lost two games since I have played.

Development of players is essential, and will be given focus. That is a long term plan, short term we will need attract attention. This is achieved through results. At the moment when I joined I was considering joining India - but there was no reason for me to join. For Australia I joined because there were users in Battrick who were saying it was good country and it was very active.

Unfortunately, national teams won't play with a "Normal" tactic and are not bot-teams as your opponents in the league were.
2006-11-14 10:38:58
Indeed, I never claimed the teams in my league were superstars -lol.

I just pointed out, that finishing 2nd from fourth considering the points that i had and the lead of other teams- I did well.

But my friendlies were not bot teams. Regardless I showed that I could exploit weaknesses in different ways.

@ De Generaal

You don`t need to have a PLUS to watch NT matches. They are viewable for everyone. Tactics of many good managers can be viewed in such matches, i.e. Julius (Netherland) or Crameren (Danmark).

But it's a great benefit to see the player in clubteam matches first, before being selected in the NT
2006-11-14 12:00:38
Yes, I agree. But it often happen, that players` stats are misleaded. Most important is viewing player in the match.
Eg:

Franciszek Płaza
adequate stamina, hopeless keeper
very good pace, unearthly defender
solid technique, hopeless playmaker
weak passing, adequate striker

2006-11-12 ZKS Warta ... - Juveentus Turyn 1:0 35 DEF
2006-11-05 Wigry Gdynia - ZKS Warta Zaw... 1:1 37 DEF
2006-10-29 ZKS Warta ... - MKS Dynovia D... 0:2 35 DEF
2006-10-22 FC BAZYLE - ZKS Warta Zaw... 1:0 31 DEF
2006-10-18 ZKS Warta ... - SC Froosim 3:2 31 DEF
2006-10-11 Partizan L... - ZKS Warta Zaw... 1:0 37 DEF
2006-10-08 szwagry - ZKS Warta Zaw... 2:3 41 DEF
2006-10-04 ZKS Warta ... - FC Volharding 3:1 31 DEF
2006-10-01 PHILIPS - Dobry Zły i B... 4:1 44 DEF
2006-09-27 MKS Tuchola - Dobry Zły i B... 2:1 33 DEF
2006-09-20 Genialne M... - Dobry Zły i B... 1:2 33 DEF

And :

Konstanty Mirski
formidable stamina, hopeless keeper
solid pace, formidable defender
good technique, adequate playmaker
excellent passing, poor striker

2006-11-08 Pantarei - szarinio 3:2 47 DEF
2006-11-01 Pantarei - Paka Jabłoniaka 3:2 45 DEF
2006-10-25 Siusiorex - Pantarei 2:1 48 DEF
2006-10-22 Pantarei - CzaRRni Legnica 4:0 45 DEF
2006-10-18 Szpaki Kam... - Pantarei 0:1 43 DEF
2006-10-15 FC BAZYLE - Pantarei 3:3 45 DEF
2006-10-08 Pantarei - MKS Dynovia D... 3:1 44 DEF
2006-10-04 Frogmeiste... - Pantarei 1:4 45 MID

First is better, but his stats are worst then second one.
Thats why players viewing are most important thing and then Plus is needed.
To complete NT squad is needed to spent more time, viewing only players` stats aren`t enough.
2006-11-16 13:02:12
Stats can tell a lot of things - there are meaningless. the Match shows how the stats are developed is more important.
2006-11-16 13:52:09
Exactly
2006-11-20 13:32:56
i'm sure us indian players will be looking at ll the battleplans youguys ahve drawn up, and then making a decision.
2006-11-21 05:53:39
Well the battle plans - very simple win as you as many as you can whatever it takes. Of course this can take many forms, using a weaker team to prepare to for a more important match and winning that match.

Concern here in India is clearly development of Indian players - national coach can only lead and give match orders etc. He cant really train the players and develop them, thats really up to the indian managers, and the role they play in the next few seasons will determine how good India will be in the future.

good luck!
